Tipton Town Football Club is a football club based in Tipton, West Midlands, England. They are currently members of the and play at the Tipton Sports Academy. History The club was established in 1948 as Ocker Hill United.Club History Tipton Town F.C. They joined the Wolverhampton and District Amateur League, before also entering the Handsworth League and the Wednesbury League. Tipton is an industrial town in the West Midlands in England with a population of around 38,777 at the 2011 UK Census. It is located northwest of Birmingham. Tipton was once one of the most heavily industrialised towns in the Black Country, with thousands of people employed in the town's industries. Its factories began closing in the 1970s and it has gradually become a commuter town, home largely to people working in other parts of the region. The Football Association Challenge Vase, usually referred to as the FA Vase, is an annual football competition for teams playing in Steps 5 and 6 of the English National League System (or equivalently, tier 9 or 10 of the overall English football league system).
