Tippy Packard
Tiffany Packard Yu, known as Tippy Packard, (), is a figure skater who represented Hong Kong and United States. Packard is an American professional ice skater and choreographer. She first gained attention in 2013, when the 18-year-old won her third Hong Kong Championship and began her career in show biz with ''Happiness is…Snoopy''. Packard continued her professional skating career in mid 2013 as a female principle in Royal Caribbean Ice Shows and CNE-Canadian National Exhibition. She toured over 40 countries as a show skater after retiring from the competitive sport. In 2018, she joined a part of ice skating history by becoming the female principle for the 75th Anniversary of Holiday on Ice. She was announced as a professional skater in Dancing on Ice Series 14. She is a three time Hong Kong National Champion and Worlds Competitor. Dancing On Ice (series 14)
The fourteenth series of ''Dancing on Ice'' began airing on ITV on 16 January 2022. During the finale of the thirteenth series, it was announced that ''Dancing on Ice'' had been renewed for another series. The series was once again filmed in the purpose-built studio at Bovingdon Airfield, which was set up for the tenth series. Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby returned as the hosts. Christopher Dean, Jayne Torvill and Ashley Banjo returned as judges for their fifth series, whilst it was announced on 3 October 2021, that John Barrowman would not be returning to the judging panel. In December, ''Strictly Come Dancing'' professional Oti Mabuse was confirmed as Barrowman's replacement. Arlene Phillips also joined the panel as a guest judge for Musicals Week on 20 February. Michael David Edwards (born 5 December 1963), better known as Eddie the Eagle, is an English ski-jumper and Olympian who in 1988 became the first competitor since 1928 to represent Great Britain in Olympic ski jumping, finishing last in the Normal Hill and Large Hill events. He held the British ski jumping record from 1988 to 2001. He also took part in amateur speed skiing, running at , and became a stunt jumping world record holder for jumping over 6 buses. Kye Whyte (born 21 September 1999) is a British male BMX racer. He was a silver medallist at the 2020 Summer Olympics. He competed in the fourteenth series of ''Dancing on Ice'' in 2022. Early life Whyte started riding BMX at the age of three at Brixton BMX Club in Brockwell Park, south London. Later, alongside his brothers Daniel and Tre Whyte he attended Peckham BMX Club as a youngster. The club was co-founded by the brothers' father Nigel. Tre and Kye would both become members of the Great Britain Cycling Team, with Kye becoming the eighth member of the Peckham club to do so. Kye suffered a crash shortly after first joining the British Cycling talent group, spending five days in an induced coma and unable to ride for a year. ''Dancing on Ice'' is a British television series presented by Phillip Schofield alongside Holly Willoughby from 2006 to 2011, who then returned in 2018, and Christine Bleakley from 2012 to 2014. The series features celebrities and their professional partners figure skating in front of a panel of judges. The series, broadcast on ITV (TV network), ITV, started on 14 January 2006 and ended on 9 March 2014 after the contract was not renewed by ITV. On 4 September 2017, it was announced that a revived series would air on ITV from 7 January 2018 with Schofield and Willoughby returning as hosts. History Holiday on Ice originated in the United States in December 1942. It was the brainchild of Emery Gilbert of Toledo, Ohio, an engineer and builder who created a portable ice rink. He took his idea of a traveling show to Morris Chalfen, a Minneapolis executive, who supplied the financing, and George Tyson, who used his theatrical background to create the show. The touring show made its first international trip to Mexico in 1947. In 1946, the company expanded with another ice show and secondary unit, "Ice Vogues", which took over the Holiday's last season's production and extended it for another year making stops in Cuba and Hawaii.
