In 2010 Tipperary claimed their twenty sixth All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship title after a 4-17 to 1-18 win against Kilkenny in the final at Croke Park, Dublin on 5 September. The game was physical from the throw in and Clare dominated the majority of the game. Clare put over many brilliant scorers with Tipperary managing to keep in touch at half time, 0-10 to 0-6. Tipperary County Hurling Team
The Tipperary county hurling team represents Tipperary in hurling and is governed by Tipperary GAA, the county board of the Gaelic Athletic Association. The team competes in the three major annual inter-county competitions; the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, the Munster Senior Hurling Championship and the National Hurling League. Declan Fanning
Declan Fanning (born 24 June 1979) is an Irish Gaelic footballer and hurler who played as right wing-back for the Tipperary senior team. Born in Killenaule, County Tipperary, Fanning first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Tipperary minor teams as a dual player, before later joining the under-21 sides. He made his senior football debut during the 2003 championship before making his hurling debut during the 2004 championship. Fanning went on to play a key part for Tipperary, and won one All-Ireland medal, two Munster medals and one National Hurling League medal. He was an All-Ireland runner-up on one occasion. Conor O'Mahoney
Conor O'Mahony (born 18 October 1984) is an Irish hurler who played as a centre-back for the Tipperary senior team from 2005 up to 2015. O'Mahony made his first appearance for the team during the 2005 National League and immediately became a regular member of the starting fifteen. During that time he has won one All-Ireland winners' medals, five Munster winners' medals, one National Hurling League winners' medal, two Fitzgibbon Cup medals, one Railway cup medal, two Munster Under-21 Hurling Championship medals, two Munster Minor Hurling Championship medals and two All-Star awards. Michael Cahill (born 3 January 1989) is an Irish hurler who currently plays as a left corner-back for the Tipperary senior team. Cahill made his first appearance for the team during the 2009 National League and has become a regular player over the last few seasons. During that time he has won two All-Ireland winners' medals, four Munster winners' medals and one All-Star award. He has ended up as an All-Ireland runner-up on three occasions. Michael Heffernan (hurler)
Michael Heffernan is an Irish sportsperson. He plays hurling with his local club Nenagh Éire Óg and with the Tipperary senior inter-county team. Career Heffernan won two All-Ireland Minor Hurling medals in 2006 and 2007. He made his National Hurling League debut as a substitute against Limerick in 2010, scoring a point from play. David Young (hurler)
David Young (born 13 July 1985) is an Irish hurler who currently plays since 2015 as a right wing-back for the Kildare senior team. He previously played for the Tipperary senior team. Young made his first appearance for the team during the 2010 National League and has remained a peripheral player over the last few seasons. During that time he has won one All-Ireland winners' medal on the field of play. He has ended up as an All-Ireland runner-up on two occasions. At club level Young is a two-time Munster medalist with Toomevara. In addition to this he has also won four county club championship medal. Borrisoleigh GAA
Borrisoleigh () is a small town in County Tipperary, Ireland. At the 2016 census, it had a population of 679. In recent years the population has exceeded 1,000 while historically the population has been around 8,000. It is in the ecclesiastical parish of Borrisoleigh and Ileigh in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cashel and Emly. Paddy Stapleton
Patrick Stapleton (born 3 August 1985) is an Irish hurler who played as a right corner-back for the Tipperary senior team from 2006 until 2016. Stapleton made his first appearance for the team during the 2007 Waterford Crystal Cup. During that time he won two All-Ireland winners' medals and six Munster winners' medals. At club level, Stapleton is a three-time North Tipperary medalist with Borris–Ileigh. He had the honour of captaining the side to victory over Nenagh Éire Óg in the 2017 decider.
