Tipik is a Belgian national television channel, owned and operated by the French-language public-service broadcasting organization RTBF. History From RTbis to Télé 2 On March 26, 1977, RTB launched a second television channel called RTBis, which only broadcast on Monday and Wednesday from 8 pm to 10 pm airing programs aimed at a restricted audience, such as Walloon-language plays and cultural or educational programmes, but also reruns of successful series. Although it was officially created to broadcast regional programs produced by RTB's two regional TV centers (Charleroi and Liège), adult education programs and service sections, the second channel aimed to occupy the old network of black and white transmitters of the first channel, converted to color, so that no commercial station could claim it. The ''Radio-télévision belge de la Communauté française'' (RTBF, ''Belgian Radio-television of the French Community'', branded as rtbf.be) is a public service broadcaster delivering radio and television services to the French-speaking Community of Belgium, in Wallonia and Brussels. Arte
Arte (; (), sometimes stylized in lowercase or uppercase in its logo) is a European public service channel dedicated to culture. It is made up of three separate companies: the Strasbourg-based European Economic Interest Grouping ARTE, plus two member companies acting as editorial and programme production centres, ARTE France in Paris (formerly known as La Sept) and ARTE Deutschland in Baden-Baden (a subsidiary of the two main public German TV networks ARD and ZDF). As an international joint venture (an EEIG), its programmes focus on audiences in both countries. Canvas (Belgium)
Canvas is a Belgian television channel of the Flemish public broadcasting organisation Vlaamse Radio- en Televisieomroeporganisatie (VRT). Specialising in both original and adaptations from western Europe and North America, the channel offers: in-depth news and current affairs, non-mainstream entertainment, documentaries, arthouse films, other cultural programming, and most recently additional children's programming. The channel, launched in December 1997, is part of VRT's second network (VRT 2), which also carries occasional sports programming under the ''Sporza'' branding. Pure was a Belgian public radio station created in 2004, focused on music genres such as pop, rock, hip hop, contemporary R&B, and electronic. It is operated by the Radio télévision belge de la communauté française (RTBF). Pure is the French language equivalent of the Flemish Studio Brussel. History On 1 April 2004, the public rock/pop radio station Radio 21 owned by the RTBF stops broadcasting to be replaced by two new radio stations, Classic 21 and Pure FM. In 2010, Pure FM changed its logo. In January 2017, the station dropped the "FM" suffix from its name.
