Tip McGuire
Thaddeus P. "Tip" McGuire (born July 1987) is an American attorney and Democratic politician from Kenosha County, Wisconsin. He is a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the 64th Assembly district since May 2019. He previously served as an assistant district attorney in Milwaukee County. Biography Tip McGuire was born in Somers, Wisconsin, in July 1987. He was raised and educated in southeast Wisconsin, graduating from St. Catherine's High School in Racine, Wisconsin, in 2005. He went on to attend Marquette University where he earned his bachelor's degree in 2009. He got involved in politics shortly after graduation, working as a legislative aide to state representative Peter W. Barca from 2009 through 2014, and as a campaign field organizer for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin in the 2010 and 2012 elections. Wisconsin's 64th Assembly District
The 64th Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in southeast Wisconsin, the district comprises the northeast corner of Kenosha County and the southeast corner of Racine County, including part of the cities of Racine and Kenosha, as well as the village of Elmwood Park and parts of the villages of Somers and Mount Pleasant east of Wisconsin Highway 31. The district also contains the University of Wisconsin–Parkside campus, Carthage College, and the Kenosha campus of Gateway Technical College. Wisconsin Elections Commission
The Wisconsin Elections Commission is a bipartisan regulatory agency of the State of Wisconsin established to administer and enforce election laws in the state. The Wisconsin Elections Commission was established by a 2015 act of the Wisconsin Legislature which also established the Wisconsin Ethics Commission to administer campaign finance, ethics, and lobbying laws. The two commissions began operation on June 30, 2016, replacing the Wisconsin Government Accountability Board (GAB), which was abolished. The Government Accountability Board had been established in 2008 to replace the Wisconsin Elections Board and Wisconsin Ethics Board.
