Susie Olive Kaylock born Susie Harden aka Susie Rudder (8 June 1892 – 18 August 1959) was an Australian local government official and community worker taking a strong interest in the Country Women's Association. Life Kaylock was born in Tintenbar, New South Wales in 1892. She was the first child born to Miriam Ada (born Everingham) and her Irish born husband, Henry Harden. Her mother took an interest in her education, as she was trained as a school teacher. Her father was a farmer and when she was a teenager they moved to the hamlet of Lower Bucca in New South Wales. She had lessons in singing and piano to supplement her education, and in about 1908 she was sent to a finishing school in Sydney. When she returned she was a piano teacher and she could dress make. The Tintenbar, New South Wales, Tintenbar-East Ballina Club Cricket, Cricket Club is a club based in the Ballina, New South Wales, Ballina district. With the establishment of the LJ Hooker League in 1994/95 the first-grade side now competes at a regional level, with the lower grades still playing in Ballina competition. The first-grade side also plays annually against the Ballina Bears for the "David Dawson Shield"—named in honour of David Dawson, a regular and popular 1st grade player, who died in July 1994. The Bar have won the LJ Hooker League on 3 occasions: 2000/01, 2002/03 and 2005/06. Nashua is a former railway station and locality in the north-east of New South Wales, between Lismore and Byron Bay. Naming & Agriculture Originally called Springvale. However, James and John Toohey named their property Nashua, originally a tribe of New England American Indians, meaning ''"land between two rivers"'' or ''"river with the pebbled bottom".'' It is not well understood why the Irish brothers so named their property. The Tooheys planned to grow sugar cane at Nashua, however frost destroyed their crops. Today, the undulating countryside sustains dairy cattle, pecan nuts and other agriculture. The New South Wales government used the property name for the railway station, and the name has persisted to this day. Construction Nashua Hall was built in 1909 for £149 10/-, but blown down by a storm in 1942 and not rebuilt.
