Tina Rupprecht
Christina Rupprecht (born 23 August 1992) is a German professional boxer who has held the WBC female mini-flyweight title since 2018. As an amateur she won multiple German national titles. As of May 2020, she is ranked as the world's third best active female mini-flyweight by BoxRec. Amateur career Two years prior to switching to boxing at the age of 14, Tina Rupprecht had joined her childhood boyfriend in kickboxing lessons. Competing for 1. Boxclub Haan Augsburg e.V., she won the 2009 and 2010 German amateur championships for juniors aged under 19 years in paper weight (up to 46 kg). The International Boxing Organization (IBO) is a US based corporation that sanctions professional boxing matches and awards world and regional championships. It is an independent and well-known organization not recognized by the "big four" governing bodies ( WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO), who only recognize each other in their rankings and title unification rules. Interim Championship
An interim championship is an alternate title that is awarded by the sanctioning bodies of professional boxing, and in other combat sports such as kickboxing, professional wrestling, and mixed martial arts. Occasionally, the champion of a particular weight division is temporarily unable to defend his championship because of medical, legal, or other reasons beyond the competitor's control. When this case occurs, two highly ranked contenders may fight for an interim championship of the same weight division – leading to two champions existing in the same weight division simultaneously. Once the original champion can return, at the discretion of the sanctioning body or promotion concerned, they must defend their title against the interim champion - who will relinquish their interim title to fight for the full world title.
