Tina Pakravan ( fa, تینا پاکروان; born 17 April 1977) is an Iranian film director, writer, producer, and actress. Career Tina Pakravan was born in 1977 in Tehran. She did a B.A. in movie directing from Tehran Faculty of Cinema and Theater. Her cinematic career was begun with contributing to the magazine ''Gozāresh-e Film'' in 1995, followed by her contribution to such magazines as ''Abrār-e Sinamāyi'' (Persian: '')'', ''Sedā, Durbin, Harakat'' ''()'', and ''Fakur'' ''()'' weekly. At the age of eighteen, Pakravan acted as the script girl of the movie ''Yās-hā-ye Vahshi'' ''(Persian: ; The Wild Jasmines)'', directed by Mohsen Mohseninasab. In the movie '' Killing Mad Dogs'' ''()'', directed by Bahram Bayzai, Pakravan was the director's assistant. Fajr International Film Festival
Iran's annual Fajr International Film Festival ( fa, جشنواره بین‌المللی فیلم فجر), or Fajr Film Festival (little: FIFF; fa, جشنواره فیلم فجر), has been held every February and April in Tehran since 1982. The festival is supervised by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. It takes place on the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution. The awards are the Iranian equivalent to the American Academy Awards. The festival has been promoted locally and internationally through television, radio and webinars; speakers have come from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany. Organizations contributing to the event have included the Farabi Cinema Foundation, Iran film foundation, Press TV, HispanTV and Iran's multi-lingual film channel IFilm. Dariush Mehrjoui
Dariush Mehrju'i ( fa, داریوش مهرجویی , born 8 December 1939, also spelled as ''Mehrjui'', ''Mehrjoui'', Mehrjooi, and ''Mehrjuyi'') is an Iranian film director, screenwriter, producer, editor and a member of the Iranian Academy of the Arts. Mehrjui was a founding member of the Iranian New Wave movement of the early 1970s. His second film, ''Gaav'', is considered to be the first film of this movement, which also included Masoud Kimiai and Nasser Taqvai.
