Timur Mohamed
Timur Mohamed (born 7 June 1957) is a former Guyanese cricketer. Mohamed was a left-handed batsman who bowled leg break. He was born in Georgetown, Guyana. Mohamed initially played Youth Test matches and One Day International's for West Indies Young Cricketers, who he also captained. Mohamed made his first-class debut for Guyana against a Combined Leeward and Windward Islands team in 1976. He made 35 further first-class appearances for Guyana, the last of which came against the Leeward Islands in 1986/87 Shell Shield. In his 36 first-class matches for Guyana, he scored 1,999 runs at an average of 38.44, with a high score of 200 not out. He made 11 fifties and 5 centuries, with his highest score coming against the Windward Islands in the 1985/86 Shell Shield. The West Indies under-19 cricket team represents the countries of Cricket West Indies in international under-19 cricket. The West Indies is one of only five teams to participate in every edition of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup, along with England, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Barbados National Cricket Team
The Barbados national cricket team is the national cricket team of Barbados, organised by the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA). Barbados is a member of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB), which is a member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in its own right, and Barbadians play internationally for the West Indies cricket team. The West Indian cricket team toured England in 1980, spending virtually the whole of the 1980 English cricket season in England. West Indies also played two matches in Ireland and two in Scotland. Warwickshire County Cricket Club is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Warwickshire. Windward Islands Cricket Team
The Windward Islands cricket team is a cricket team representing the member countries of the Windward Islands Cricket Board of Control. The team plays in the West Indies Professional Cricket League (including the NAGICO Regional Super50) under the franchise name Windward Islands Volcanoes. It includes the islands that were known as the British Windward Islands except for Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago, who have their own teams. In cricket, a century is a score of 100 or more runs in a single innings by a batsman. The term is also included in "century partnership" which occurs when two batsmen add 100 runs to the team total when they are batting together. Batting Average (cricket)
In cricket, a player's batting average is the total number of runs they have scored divided by the number of times they have been out, usually given to two decimal places. Since the number of runs a player scores and how often they get out are primarily measures of their own playing ability, and largely independent of their teammates, batting average is a good metric for an individual player's skill as a batter (although the practice of drawing comparisons between players on this basis is not without criticism). Shell Shield
The Regional Four Day Competition, formerly known as Shell Shield and Carib Beer Cup, is the first-class cricket competition in the West Indies. It is administered by the Cricket West Indies. In the 2013-2014 season the winner of the tournament was awarded the WICB President's Trophy while the winners of the knockout competition were awarded the George Headley/Everton Weekes trophy. In a few previous seasons the winners of the tournament were awarded the Headley/Weekes trophy.
