Timi Lahti
Timi Tapio Lahti (born 28 June 1990) is a Finnish former professional footballer who played as a centre back. Since 2015, Lahti has worked for (JPY), "Finnish Football Players Union". Career Club career A product of his local club JJK, Lahti finished his grooming at FC Haka. In 2007, he was signed by Italian club Padova, where he stayed for three years and only played for the club's youth team. In January 2010, he joined A.C. Belluno 1905 on loan from Padova where he had a successful loan stint in Serie D with 19 appearances. However, in 2010 Lahti decided to return to Finland was signed a two-year contract with his former club Haka. However, he returned to A.C. Vaasan Palloseura
Vaasan Palloseura (or VPS) is a Finnish football club, based in Vaasa. It currently plays in the first tier of Finnish football (''Veikkausliiga''). The club's current manager is Jussi Nuorela. The club plays its home matches at Hietalahti. VPS played twice in the UEFA Cup in 1998–99 and in 1999–00, but were knocked out in the 2nd Qualifying Round by Grazer AK of Austria and in the 1st Qualifying Round by St Johnstone of Scotland. In spring of 2015 it was announced that the construction of VPS's new stadium would start soon. The construction of the new stadium began in the summer of 2015 and was completed in August 2016. 2011 Veikkausliiga
The 2011 Veikkausliiga was the 81st season of top-tier football in Finland. It began on 2 May 2011 and ended on 29 October 2011. HJK were the defending champions and successfully defended their title. The pre-season was severely affected by license revocations to two teams, which eventually resulted in a later than originally scheduled begin date and an increase of scheduled matches from 26 to 33 per team. Teams The league was originally supposed to have 14 teams, but AC Oulu was refused a license due to club's bad economic situation and Tampere United was excluded from every official competition of Football Association of Finland due to breaking the rules of the association, and the league will therefore be played with only 12 teams. AC Oulu was, however, obtained a license for Ykkönen, where it will play this season. FC Lahti were relegated to Ykkönen after finishing at the bottom of the 2010 season. 2010–11 Serie D
The 2010–11 Serie D was the sixty-third edition of the top level Italian non-professional football championship. It represented the fifth tier in the Italian football league system. It originally consisted of 166 teams, with two divisions allocated 20 teams each while the other seven allocated 18 teams. After the first matchday, another team was added, increasing the number of teams to 167 and Girone I to 19 teams. Veikkausliiga (; sv, Tipsligan) is the premier division of Finnish football, the highest tier of the Finnish football league structure, comprising the top 12 clubs of the country. Its main sponsor is the Finnish national betting agency Veikkaus, hence the league's name. Veikkausliiga was founded in 1990; before that the top division was called ''Mestaruussarja'' (championship series) since 1930 which was an amateur or semi-professional league. Between 1908 and 1930 the championship was decided as a knock-out cup competition. Teams RoPS finished at the bottom of the 2009 season and were relegated to Ykkönen. Finnish League Cup
The Finnish League Cup was a knock-out association football, football competition contested annually during the pre-season in winter by teams from Veikkausliiga. The league cup was abolished after the 2016 tournament and replaced with the Finnish Cup group stage starting from the 2017 season. League cup will be played again in spring of 2022.
