Timeless Festival
Timeless Festival was a community music festival in Huddersfield, Kirklees, which ran from 2002 to 2005, "Pick of the Week" in ''The Guardian'' for the latter two. It was organised by Chocolate Fireguard Records and the Timeless Music Project, and featured three stages in Ravensknowle Park, Wakefield Road, Huddersfield. Pee Wee Ellis
Alfred James Ellis (April 21, 1941 – September 23, 2021), known as Pee Wee Ellis due to his diminutive stature, was an American saxophonist, composer, and arranger. With a background in jazz, he was a member of James Brown's band in the 1960s, appearing on many of Brown's recordings and co-writing hits like "Cold Sweat" and "Say It Loud – I'm Black and I'm Proud". He also worked with Van Morrison. In the 2014 biographical movie '' Get on Up'' about James Brown, Ellis is played by Tariq Trotter. Ellis resided in England for the last 30 years of his life. The Selecter
The Selecter are an English 2 tone ska revival band, formed in Coventry, England, in 1979. The Selecter featured a diverse line-up, both in terms of race and gender, initially consisting of Arthur 'Gaps' Hendrickson and Pauline Black on lead vocals, Neol Davies and Compton Amanor on guitar, Desmond Brown on Hammond organ, Charley 'Aitch' Bembridge on drums, and Charley Anderson on bass. The band's name is based on the term "selector", which is a Jamaican word for disc jockey (DJ). The band were one of the most successful ska bands of the 2 tone era, notching up several top forty singles in the British charts. Hope & Social (stylised as Hope&Social) are a six-piece (plus) rock band based in Leeds, England. Formed in 2008, they have released 3 albums in under three years and have toured extensively. Hope and Social are characterised by their "Pay What You Want" approach to their music. In July 2008, Hope & Social released their first EP with a full-length album to follow. On 7 October 2008, the band appeared on Channel M, a TV station based in Manchester. On 3 June 2009, the band released their new album, '' Architect of this Church''. William G. Shields (born 1979), better known by his stage name Jehst, is an English rapper and co-founder of hip hop label YNR Productions. Iration is a reggae/ pop group from Santa Barbara, California. All members originally hail from Hawaii. They play a mix of reggae, dub, pop, and rock. The group is one of the leading bands in the genre of sunshine reggae.
