''Time to Turn'' is the tenth studio album by German rock band Eloy, released in 1982. On the UK release the track 'Magic Mirrors' was replaced by 'Illuminations', originally released on the 1980 album '' Colours''. The UK issue, on the Heavy Metal World-wide label, featured different artwork by noted fantasy illustrator Rodney Matthews. Eloy is a German rock band. Founded in 1969 by guitarist Frank Bornemann, the band is best known for their progressive rock music. History Founded in 1969 by guitarist Frank Bornemann, the band has endured several line-up changes, with Bornemann being the only consistent member of the group. In the 1980s, after a series of major splits in the group, Bornemann pursued a more commercial direction. However, in later years, former members of the band re-joined, and in 1998 released the album ''Ocean 2'', a return to the classic symphonic progressive rock genre for which the band was well known. Despite attracting a large following in Germany, the band never gained popularity in the United States. The name Eloy is based on the futurist race of humans from the book ''The Time Machine'' by H. Frank Bornemann (born 27 April 1945) is a German guitarist and vocalist best known as part of the German progressive rock band Eloy. He is also the founder of the Horus Sound Studios in Hannover, Germany where he worked until 2014. Life Frank Bornemann has been active as a musician since the early 1960s. He founded the progressive rock band Eloy in 1969. As a discoverer and producer of the Guano Apes, he also celebrated success as a record producer. Bornemann founded music publishing house and the record label Artist Station and is active in the promotion of young artists. Rodney Matthews (born 6 July 1945) is a British illustrator and conceptual designer of fantasy and science-fiction. Career Trained at the West of England College of Art, Matthews worked in advertising for Plastic Dog Graphics before turning freelance in 1970, initially under the name Skyline Studios. Matthews has painted over 140 subjects for record album covers, for many rock and progressive rock bands. More than 90 of his pictures have been published worldwide, selling in poster format, as well as many international editions of calendars, jigsaw puzzles, postcards, notecards, snowboards and T-shirts. His originals have been exhibited throughout the UK and Europe.
