Time To Party
Poland participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with the song "Time to Party" written by Kamil Varen, David Junior Serame and Mateusz Krezan. The song was performed by the duo The Jet Set. The Polish broadcaster Telewizja Polska (TVP) organised the national final ''Piosenka dla Europy 2007'' in order to select the Polish entry for the 2007 contest in Helsinki, Finland. The national final took place on 3 February 2007 and featured ten entries. "Time to Party" performed by The Jet Set was selected as the winner after gaining the most public votes. Poland competed in the semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 10 May 2007. Performing in position 14, "Time to Party" was not announced among the top 10 entries of the semi-final and therefore did not qualify to compete in the final. The Jet Set is a Polish R&B duo which consists of English-born David Junior Serame (South African ancestry) and Russian-born Sasha Strunin. Opole Festival
The National Festival of Polish Song in Opole ( pl, Krajowy Festiwal Piosenki Polskiej w Opolu, KFPP) is an annual music festival in Opole, Poland. Together with the Sopot Festival it is one of the two most important music festivals in Poland. The Opole Festival is meant as a summary of the past year's achievements by Polish song writers and performers. The Eurovision Song Contest 2006 was the 51st edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Athens, Greece, following the country's victory at the with the song "My Number One" by Helena Paparizou. Jamiroquai () are an English funk and acid jazz band from London. Formed in 1992, they are fronted by vocalist Jay Kay, and were prominent in the London-based funk and acid jazz movement of the 1990s. Charizma (band)
Charizma is a Swedish rock band formed in Oskarshamn. It was founded in 1981 by the three brothers Bo, Jan and Göran Nikolausson. In 1996 the band added two members, Johan Mauritzson and Thomas Karlsson. In November 2008 the band went on an indefinite hiatus. Starting out as a hard rock trio in the early 1980s, at the end of the 1990s Charizma turned into a radio-friendly rock band focusing on melodies and strong vocal elements.
