Time Express
''Time Express'' was an American fantasy drama series that was broadcast on CBS from April 26 to May 17, 1979, and later syndicated. The series was created by Ivan Goff and Ben Roberts who had both previously been involved in the creation of ''Charlie's Angels'' and '' Mannix''. The series ran for four episodes before being cancelled. Plot The series is in anthology format, similar to other dramatic television series on American networks of the time such as '' The Love Boat'', '' Fantasy Island'', and to a Lesser extent; NBC's ''Supertrain'' which premiered roughly 2 months earlier. Each episode consists of two tales featuring guest actors. The featured characters would receive an invitation from "The Head of The Line" to travel to some time and place in the past where a crucial point in their lives had occurred. Ivan Goff
Ivan Goff (17 April 1910 – 23 September 1999) was an Australian screenwriter, best known for his collaborations with Ben Roberts including ''White Heat'' (1949), '' Man of a Thousand Faces'' (1957), '' Legend of the Lone Ranger'' (1981), and the pilot for ''Charlie's Angels'' (1976). Biography Early Years Goff was born in Perth, the son of two concert musicians. He attended Perth Boys Central School and grew up in Claremont. At 15, he began writing for a local newspaper, but soon became dissatisfied by the isolation he felt. "Living in Australia made me crazy", he later said in an interview. "It took a month for a book to get to Australia, a year for a play and forever for an idea." Leaving for England Goff was private secretary to novelist Louis Goulding. Arnold Laven (February 3, 1922 – September 13, 2009) was an American film and television director and producer. He was one of the founders and principals of the American film and television production company Levy-Gardner-Laven. Laven was a producer of, among other things, the western television series ''The Rifleman'' and ''The Big Valley''. Steven Francis Kanaly (; born March 14, 1946) is an American actor, best known for his role as Ray Krebbs on the CBS primetime soap opera ''Dallas''. Early life and career Kanaly was born in Burbank, California, and grew up in the San Fernando Valley. He attended California State University, Northridge. Kanaly served in the Vietnam War as a radio operator with the First Air Cavalry Division. John Beck (born January 28, 1943) is an American retired actor, known for his role as Mark Graison in the television series ''Dallas'' during the mid-1980s. Early life Beck was born in Chicago, Illinois but he grew up in Evanston and Joliet on his father's ranch with the goal of becoming a veterinarian. His goals changed at the age of sixteen after performing in a play in high school to overcome shyness. Three years later, Beck moved to California and took jobs in television commercials.
