''Timbiriche X'' is the tenth album released by Mexican pop and rock band Timbiriche. The first single "Me Pongo Mal" was released in late 1989 and by the time the full album debuted in April 1990, the single was at the top of the charts. Timbiriche in 1990 featured Paulina Rubio, Bibi Gaytán, Edith Márquez, Erik Rubin, Diego Schoening and Claudio Bermúdez. Patty Tanus was the seventh member during the recording of the album and participated in the initial promotion, but was replaced by Silvia Campos by the time the album was released. Despite four member changes over the course of a year, the album sold 250,000 and was certified as platinum, the group went on to fulfill a heavy tour schedule. ''Timbiriche'' (also known for a brief time as ''La Banda Timbiriche'') is a Mexican pop music group. The group started as a children's group in 1981 and managed to evolve successfully into adulthood. Timbiriche is considered one of the most iconic Latin Pop acts of the 1980s and the early 1990s. It was the start of numerous figures in the Latin American entertainment world, including successful singers like Thalía, Paulina Rubio and Edith Márquez, as well as actors, composers and conductors. The discography of the band consists of twelve studio albums released between 1982 and 1993, in addition to two compilation albums and two discs recorded live. Raúl Alejandro Escajadillo Peña (born 29 September 1969), known by his stage name, Aleks Syntek, is a Mexican singer and songwriter. Erik Rubín Milanszenko (born 30 January 1971) is a Mexican singer and actor. He was a member of the Mexican teen pop group Timbiriche. Early career At the age of 12, Rubín joined the group Timbiriche, one of the most important and influential pop bands of the 1980s on the Spanish language charts. His entry into the group transformed it into a septet. His first album with the group was their fourth album. While with the group, he recorded more than 10 albums, participated in several television specials, and visited various countries during their concert tours. He is best known for hits such as "Mágico amor", "Ámame hasta con los dientes" and "Princesa Tibetana". Rubín remained with Timbiriche until 1991. Grupo Multimedios is a Mexican media conglomerate with holdings in broadcast television, radio, publishing and entertainment. The company is headquartered in Monterrey.
