''Timber Timbre'' is the third studio album from Timber Timbre, released January 13, 2009 on Out of This Spark in Canada. It was rereleased on June 30, 2009 in both Canada and the United States, and August 17, 2009 in the United Kingdom, on Arts & Crafts. Considered to be a successful follow-up to the smaller scale previous LPs which garnered a minute but faithful following, the album was a long list nominee for the 2009 Polaris Music Prize and the song "Lay Down in the Tall Grass" has been shortlisted for SOCAN'S ECHO prize. Timber Timbre is a Canadian music group, featuring Taylor Kirk. The moniker refers to an early series of recordings made in a timber-framed cabin set in the wooded outskirts of Bobcaygeon, Ontario. History Timber Timbre released two albums independently before releasing their self-titled album on Out of This Spark in January 2009. They were subsequently signed to Arts & Crafts, who re-released the album on June 30 in Canada and July 28 internationally. Milosh
Mike Milosh, known professionally as Milosh, (born 1976) is a Canadian electronic musician from Toronto, who is currently based in Los Angeles, California. Career Milosh started learning classical cello at age three, later taking up drumming. He studied jazz and vocals at university. The Los Angeles-based record label Plug Research released two of Milosh's albums, including 2004's ''You Make Me Feel'' and 2006's ''Meme''. In 2008, he contributed the track "Then It Happened" to the Ghostly International/Williams Street album ''Ghostly Swim'', which was released as a free digital download. Later that year, he released his third record, ''iii'', with Plug Research in the US and Studio !K7 in the EU. In 2009, he collaborated with Paul Pfisterer on the album ''New Territory''. Mika Posen
Mika Posen is a Canadian violinist and music instructor based in Ottawa. She is known for collaborating and performing with acts including Timber Timbre, Agnes Obel, and Forest City Lovers and performs as a solo artist under the name Merganzer. Her first solo album, ''Mirror Maze'' was released in 2015 and was recorded over the course of several years in Berlin, Germany. A second solo album, ''Montage'' was released in 2019. Posen grew up in Ottawa and is the daughter of Canadian singer and songwriter Shelley Posen. She left at 18 and spent several years living in Guelph, Toronto, and Berlin.
