Tim Ward (soccer)
Timothy Robert Ward (born February 28, 1987, in Waukesha, Wisconsin) is an American former professional soccer player. Career Youth and college Ward, who can play any position on defense and also in defensive midfield, trained with the United States Under-17 team at the Bradenton Academy from 2002 to 2004. Following his graduation, he played a year of college soccer at Saint Louis University, starting 18 games for the Billikens, and being named second-team All- Conference USA. Professional Ward left after his freshman season to sign a Generation adidas contract with MLS, whereupon he was selected 12th overall in the 2005 MLS SuperDraft by the MetroStars, who acquired the pick by trading Cornell Glen to FC Dallas. Waukesha ( ) is the county seat of Waukesha County, Wisconsin, United States. It is part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. Its population was 71,158 at the 2020 census. The city is adjacent to the Village of Waukesha. History The area that Waukesha now encompasses was first settled by European-Americans in 1834, with Morris D. Cutler as its first settler. Generation Adidas is a joint venture between Major League Soccer and U.S. Soccer aimed at raising the level of young professional soccer talent in the United States. The program, sponsored by Adidas, offers professional-ready players in the U.S. developmental system not yet eligible for the MLS SuperDraft early entry, allowing MLS to compete with foreign professional clubs without comparable restrictions on player signing. FIFA U-20 World Cup
The FIFA U-20 World Cup is the biennial football world championship tournament for FIFA members’ men's national teams with players under the age of 20. The competition has been staged every two years since the inaugural tournament in 1977 when it was hosted by Tunisia, under the tournament name of FIFA World Youth Championship until 2005. In 2007 the name was changed to its present form. The current title holder is Ukraine which won its first title at the 2019 tournament in Poland. The United States men's national soccer team (USMNT) represents the United States in men's international soccer competitions. The team is controlled by the United States Soccer Federation and is a member of FIFA and CONCACAF. The 2011 MLS SuperDraft was the twelfth annual SuperDraft presented by Major League Soccer. It was held on January 13, 2011 in Baltimore, Maryland, during the 2011 NSCAA Convention at the Baltimore Convention Center. Nicolás "Niko" Hernández (born 4 May 1979 in Buenos Aires, Argentina) is an Argentine retired footballer. Career Hernández began his professional career with the Primera División side Ferro Carril Oeste in 1999. After a year with them he moved to Colón de Santa Fe for a season. In 2002, he was signed by Italian club U.S. Cremonese. After a short spell with them he ended up back in Argentina playing for National B Division teams San Martín de Mendoza and Huracán until 2005 when he was picked up by Chilean powerhouse Cobreloa. On 30 March 2006, he was signed by the Colorado Rapids. He started his first game with the club on 2 April against the Columbus Crew and scored 8 goals for the club. Chris Henderson
Christopher Henderson (born December 11, 1970) is an American former professional soccer player who played as a midfielder. He earned 79 caps with the U.S. national team and part of the U.S. team at the 1992 Summer Olympics. At the time of his retirement from Major League Soccer, he was the league's all-time leader in games played. Henderson served as the technical director of Seattle Sounders FC from 2008 to 2021.
