Tim Tszyu
Timofei Konstantinovich Tszyu (born 2 November 1994) is an Australian professional boxer who has held the World Boxing Organization (WBO) light-middleweight title since September 2023. He is the son of former light-welterweight world champion of boxing, Kostya Tszyu and older brother of Nikita Tszyu. Early life Tszyu was born in Sydney, New South Wales, to Russian parents. His father Kostya is of ethnic Russian, Korean and Mongolian descent and his mother Natasha Anikina is of ethnic Russian descent. His father, Kostya, is a former undisputed light-welterweight champion who was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2011. International Boxing Hall Of Fame
The modern International Boxing Hall of Fame (IBHOF), located in Canastota, New York, honors boxers, trainers and other contributors to the sport worldwide. Inductees are selected by members of the Boxing Writers Association of America. The IBHOF started as a 1990 initiative by Ed Brophy to honour Canastota's world boxing champions, Carmen Basilio and Basilio's nephew, Billy Backus; the village of Canastota inaugurated the new museum, which showcases boxing's rich history. Unanimous Decision
A unanimous decision (UD) is a winning criterion in several full-contact combat sports, such as boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, mixed martial arts and other sports involving striking and submission in which all three judges agree on which fighter won the match. In boxing, each of the three judges keep score (round by round) of which fighter they feel is winning (and losing). This only includes landed blows to the head or the body. In MMA, judges look for different criteria such as kicks, take downs, punches, knees, elbows, cage control, submission attempts and aggression. A decision is not required to be unanimous for a boxer or mixed martial artist to be given a victory.
