Tim Timebomb
''Tim Timebomb'' is a music project by Tim Armstrong, best known as a member of the punk rock band Rancid. Armstrong has recorded a large number of songs – a mixture of cover versions, including Rancid covers, and original songs, including some tracks from his musical film project ''RocknNRoll Theater'' – with a variety of supporting musicians. A selection of the material was first released as a download only album ''Tim Timebomb Sings Songs from RocknNRoll Theater'' – this consisting of original songs featured in Armstrong's musical film series "RockNRoll Theatre". Starting on October 29, 2012, a series of digital singles have also been released, on a daily basis. These singles are initially being released via YouTube, with one song each day being released from October 29, 2012, onwards, and then being made available for download via iTunes. Tim Armstrong
Timothy Ross Armstrong (born November 25, 1965) is an American musician, singer, songwriter and producer. Known for his distinctive voice, he is the singer/guitarist for the punk rock band Rancid and hip hop/punk rock supergroup Transplants. Prior to forming Rancid, Armstrong was in the ska punk band Operation Ivy. In 1997, along with Brett Gurewitz of the band Bad Religion and owner of Epitaph Records, Armstrong founded Hellcat Records. In 2012, through his website, Armstrong started releasing music that influenced him, along with stripped-down cover songs of his own under the name Tim Timebomb. Armstrong is also a songwriter for other artists. Armstrong won a Grammy Award for his work with Jimmy Cliff and Pink, and has also worked with Joe Walsh. "I'm Moving On" is a 1950 country standard written by Hank Snow. It is Snow's most recorded song. Recording and lyrics According to Snow, he proposed the song for his first session for RCA Records in 1949, but recording director Stephen H. Sholes turned it down. "Later on, in the spring of 1950, in Nashville, Mr. Sholes had not remembered the song, so I recorded it," Snow recalled. Kevin Bivona (born November 8, 1986) is an American musician and audio engineer best known for his work with the Transplants and Tim Armstrong. He is currently the guitarist for the ska punk band the Interrupters. Early career In 2005, Bivona became the touring keyboard player for The Transplants on the Vans Warped Tour.
