Tim Schrick
Tim Schrick (born January 20, 1976 in Wermelskirchen) is a German racecar driver and television presenter. He is the son of Peter Schrick, founder of engine manufacturing company ''Dr. Schrick GmbH'' now known as ''AVL-Schrick GmbH''. Schrick has made a number of starts in the 24 Hours Nürburgring endurance event as well as several other car racing championships such as the ADAC Volkswagen Polo Cup. From September 2006 until end of 2008, along with Sabine Schmitz and Carsten van Ryssen, he has hosted a motoring program on German television channel DMAX known as ''D Motor'', similar to the BBC's '' Top Gear''. Tim Schrick prepared an Aston Martin V8 Vantage which he entered in the 2009 24 Hours Nürburgring endurance race, ex-DTM driver Jörg van Ommen has been named as one of the drivers. Wermelskirchen (; Ripuarian: ''Wärmelßkirrshe'') is a town in the Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, southeast of Remscheid. Nürburgring 24 Hours Drivers
The is a 150,000 person capacity motorsports complex located in the town of Nürburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It features a Formula One, Grand Prix race track built in 1984, and a long "North loop" track, built in the 1920s, around the village and medieval castle of Nürburg in the Eifel mountains. The north loop is long and contains more than of elevation change from its lowest to highest points. Jackie Stewart nicknamed the track "The Green Hell". Originally, the track featured four configurations: the -long ("Whole Course"), which in turn consisted of the ("North Loop") and the ("South Loop"). The Ford CVH engine is a straight-four automobile engine produced by the Ford Motor Company. The engine's name is an acronym for either ''Compound Valve-angle Hemispherical'' or ''Canted Valve Hemispherical'', where "Hemispherical" describes the shape of the combustion chamber. The CVH was introduced in 1980 in the third generation European Escort and in 1981 in the first generation North American Escort. The Stig
The Stig is a character from the British motoring television show ''Top Gear''. Created by former ''Top Gear'' presenter Jeremy Clarkson and producer Andy Wilman, the character is a play on the anonymity of racing drivers' full-face helmets, with the running joke that nobody knows who or what is inside the Stig's racing suit.
