Tim Ross
Timothy Jonathon Ross (nicknamed Rosso) is an Australian comedian, radio host, writer and television presenter. He began his career performing stand-up comedy with Merrick Watts as part of the duo Merrick and Rosso. He is now better known as the presenter of the Australian Broadcasting Company, ABC shows ''Streets of Your Town (TV series), Streets of Your Town'' and ''Designing a Legacy'', which reflect his personal enthusiasm for design and architecture. Education Ross studied drama and music at the RMIT University, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and La Trobe University, also in Melbourne, graduating as a Bachelor of Arts. Career Live performance Ross began his career in comedy, and first came together with Merrick Watts when they teamed up for a one off comedy show in 1996. ''Merrick and Rosso Unplanned'' is a free-form talk show hosted by Australian comedians Merrick Watts and Tim Ross, based on the UK talk show '' Baddiel and Skinner Unplanned''. Produced by Granada Australia, the series debuted on the Nine Network on 3 September 2003. The show was the network television debut for the comedy duo. A highlight of the series involved comedian Scott Thomson who was dragged on stage to perform a stand-up comedy routine which poked fun at Australian personalities, in particular Nikki Webster and Democrats politician Natasha Stott-Despoja. A telephone number appeared on screen at the end of the segment for viewers to call who had taken offence at Thomson's material. ''No Leave, No Life'' is an Australian lifestyle television series, hosted by Ernie Dingo in season 1, James Tobin in season 2 and Tim Ross in its third season. The program features a celebrity guest presenter each week surprising ordinary Australians with a holiday, and the destination is then profiled. ''Weekend Sunrise'' is an Australian breakfast television program, broadcast on the Seven Network and currently hosted by Monique Wright and David Woiwod.
