Tim Rollins
Tim Rollins (June 10, 1955 – December 22, 2017) was an American artist who together with the art collaborative K.O.S. formed the art-group Tim Rollins and K.O.S (Kids of Survival). Biography Timothy William Rollins was born on June 10, 1955, in Pittsfield, Maine. He was a day student at the Maine Central Institute before studying fine art at the University of Maine. He then earned a BFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York (1975–77). After graduate studies in art education and philosophy at New York University (1977 and 1979), Rollins began teaching art for middle school students in a South Bronx public school. In 1984, he launched the "Art and Knowledge Workshop" in the Bronx together with a group of at-risk students who called themselves K.O.S. (Kids of Survival). ''The Guardian'' is a British daily newspaper. It was founded in 1821 as ''The Manchester Guardian'', and changed its name in 1959. Along with its sister papers ''The Observer'' and ''The Guardian Weekly'', ''The Guardian'' is part of the Guardian Media Group, owned by the Scott Trust. Xavier Hufkens
Xavier Hufkens gallery is a contemporary art gallery founded by Belgian art dealer Xavier Hufkens (b. 1965). The gallery has three locations in Brussels and represents an international roster of some forty emerging, mid-career and established artists, as well as a number of estates. Development 1980s The origins of the gallery date back to 1987, when Xavier Hufkens opened his first gallery on the Parvis de Saint-Gilles in Brussels. Hufkens has stated that his desire to run an art gallery can be traced to his teenage years. Ala Ebtekar (born 1978) is a contemporary artist who works between his native San Francisco Bay Area and Tehran, Iran. Ebtekar is known primarily for his work in painting, drawing, illumination, and installation that explores the juncture between history and myth, forging a multi-faceted project. Skidmore College is a private liberal arts college in Saratoga Springs, New York. The Museum of Contemporary Art (german: Museum für Gegenwartskunst) in Basel (Switzerland) opened in 1980 as the first public museum in Europe exclusively dedicated to the production and practice of contemporary art from the 1960s to the present.
