Tim Martin (American Football)
Tim Martin (born April 12, 1976) is a former American football lineman who played eight seasons in the Arena Football League with the Oklahoma Wranglers, Dallas Desperados, New Orleans VooDoo, Grand Rapids Rampage and San Jose SaberCats. He played college football at the University of Tulsa and attended Sequoyah High School in Claremore, Oklahoma. He was also a member of the Miami Dolphins, Barcelona Dragons, Chicago Enforcers and New York Dragons. College football Martin played college football for the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. He was three-year starter for the Hurricane, recording career totals of 177 tackles and five sacks. He started every game his senior year in 1998 while compiling three sacks and 60 tackles. Timothy Randall Martin (born 28 April 1955) is an English businessman and the founder and chairman of Wetherspoons, a pub chain in the UK and Ireland. In 2016, Martin actively campaigned for the United Kingdom to leave the European Union and was a strong supporter of Brexit, donating £200,000 to the Vote Leave campaign. Early life Timothy Martin was born on 28 April 1955 in Norwich. His father served in the Royal Air Force and then worked for brewing multinational Guinness plc, where he became Malaysian marketing director. He has a brother, Trevor. Martin was educated at eleven schools in New Zealand and Northern Ireland, including Campbell College, Belfast, and the Royal Belfast Academical Institution. He earned a bachelor's degree in law from the University of Nottingham, and qualified as a barrister in 1979, but has never practised. Tim Martin (soccer)
Tim Martin (born April 12, 1967 in San Jose, California) is a former American soccer defender. Over his twelve-year professional career, he played with numerous teams in six leagues, winning the 1994 U.S. Open Cup with the San Francisco Greek-Americans and the 1991 American Professional Soccer League title with the San Francisco Bay Blackhawks. He also earned two caps with the U.S. national team. Since retiring from playing in 2000, he has become a college and youth soccer coach. Player Youth Martin began his college career at UC Berkeley in 1986. However, he transferred to Fresno State where he would go on to play three season (1987–1989) for the Bulldogs. During those three seasons, Martin captained the team and earned honors as the 1989 Big West player of the year, made Big West and Far West Regional First Teams.
