Tim Maloney
Tim Maloney is an American filmmaker and animator who has made films for the band Negativland, the Walt Disney Company, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. He is the creator of Cat-Head Theatre, which is included in the DVD compilation of animated short films, God Hates Cartoons. He is a producer for the company that released that DVD, Bright Red Rocket. He also produced, edited and composed music for The Naked Cosmos, a 4-part TV show directed and starring Gilbert Hernandez, co-creator of " Love and Rockets." In 2008, Tim Maloney wrote "Get Animated! Creating Professional Cartoon Animation on Your Home Computer." In it, Maloney aims to share his low budget, lone wolf secrets to getting high quality animation out of everyday equipment and software. Animator
An animator is an artist who creates multiple images, known as frames, which give an illusion of movement called animation when displayed in rapid sequence. Animators can work in a variety of fields including film, television, and video games. Animation is closely related to filmmaking and like filmmaking is extremely labor-intensive, which means that most significant works require the collaboration of several animators. Negativland
Negativland is an American experimental music band which originated in the San Francisco Bay Area in the late 1970s. They took their name from a Neu! track, while their record label (Seeland Records) is named after another Neu! track. The core of the band consists of Mark Hosler, David Wills (aka "The Weatherman"), Peter Conheim and Jon Leidecker (aka "Wobbly"). Negativland has released a number of albums ranging from pure sound collage to more musical expositions. These have mostly been released on their own label, Seeland Records. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, they produced several recordings for SST Records, most notably ''Escape from Noise'', ''Helter Stupid'' and '' U2''. The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) is an art museum located on Wilshire Boulevard in the Miracle Mile, Los Angeles, California, Miracle Mile vicinity of Los Angeles. ''God Hates Cartoons'' is a DVD compilation of animated shorts by a variety of artists produced by Bright Red Rocket. The cartoons include works by Ivan Brunetti, Sam Henderson, Walt Holcombe, Kaz, Tim Maloney, Lance Myers, Tony Millionaire, Mark Newgarden and Jim Woodring.
