Tim Gredley
Tim Gredley (born 12 January 1986) is a British equestrian who competes in the sport of show jumping. Career He competed on Omelli at the 2006 World Equestrian Games. On Omelli he rode at the Dublin Horse Show in 2008 and the 2008 CN International, and 2008 Global Champions Tour. He retired from riding in 2016 and concentrated on his business career as a developer and the family horse breeding business. His father Bill Gredley has owned several top class racehorses and the family have bred successful race horses, including 2017 Ascot Gold Cup winner Big Orange and Allmankind who with trainer Dan Skelton and his jockey brother Harry Skelton finished third in the Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival and won the Grade One Henry VIII novices’ chase at Sandown Park and the Monet’s Garden Old Roan chase at Aintree. Rachel Wyse
Rachel Wyse (born 22 January 1985 in Dublin) is an Irish journalist, presenter, former Sky Sports News anchor and equestrian show jumper. Early life Rachel attended St Andrew's College, Dublin. Wyse graduated from the Institute of Art, Design and Technology in Dún Laoghaire with a degree in Business Studies and Arts Management. Television career Wyse eventually moved into television, producing and presenting her own entertainment and cultural programme on the City Channel. She moved into sports presenting with the ''Show Jumping Ireland Premier Series'' in 2008 & 2009 on Sky Sports, Horse & Country TV and TG4, and was the face of Leinster Rugby's online television channel Leinster Rugby TV. FEI Nations Cup
The FEI Nations Cup, called Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup since 2013 because of sponsorship reasons, is the most prestigious Show Jumping series for national teams in the world. It is organized by the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI). History The Nations Cup has been held since 1909 and it has been under Fédération Équestre Internationale supervision since 1930. After World War II it changed names several times: ''Queen’s Trophy'', '' President’s Cup'' and ''Prince Philip Trophy''. Adare Manor
Adare Manor is a manor house located on the banks of the River Maigue in the village of Adare, County Limerick, Ireland, the former seat of the Earl of Dunraven and Mount-Earl. The present house was built in the early 19th century, though retaining some of the walls of the 17th-century structure. European Show Jumping Championships
The FEI European Show Jumping Championships is the European Championship for the equestrian discipline of show jumping. First held in 1957 in Rotterdam, and on an annual basis, it is held every two years, on the years between Olympic Games and World Equestrian Games. Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals are awarded in both the individual and, since 1975, team competition. There are also championships held for young riders, juniors, ponies, children and veterans. The most recent edition in 2013 was held as part of a combined FEI European Championship, with dressage and para-dressage. All England Jumping Course At Hickstead
The All England Jumping Course at Hickstead, known widely as Hickstead, is an equestrian centre in West Sussex, England, principally known for its showjumping. It hosts two international competitions, the Al Shira'aa British Jumping Derby Meeting and the Longines Royal International Horse Show. The course was the first permanent showground for equestrian sport in the country, opening in 1960. The first Hickstead Derby was held in 1961. Hickstead is best known as the home of British showjumping, though its major fixtures also feature other disciplines such as showing, carriage driving, scurry driving, side-saddle and arena eventing. Aintree
Aintree is a village and civil parish in the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton, Merseyside, England. Historically in Lancashire, it lies between Walton and Maghull on the A59 road, north-east of Liverpool city centre, in North West England. It is best known as the site of Aintree Racecourse, which since the 19th century has staged the Grand National horserace.
