Tim Floyd (sports Administrator)
Tim Floyd is a Gaelic games administrator who is current secretary of the Tipperary County Board. In this capacity he delivers a report to the county convention. Floyd is with the Newport club. In April 2014, Floyd said he was fault for the county board being fined €500 after he failed to inform the Irish Sports Council that Tipperary hurlers would not be training at Dr Morris Park on one night they had been scheduled to train in March 2013. In 2015, Floyd said that Hawk-Eye would not be deployed at Semple Stadium that year. In March 2016, he announced the technology would be introduced. In September 2017, Floyd and Tipperary opposed a mooted round-robin restructuring of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, citing the sidelining of club hurling. Gaelic Games
Gaelic games ( ga, Cluichí Gaelacha) are a set of sports played worldwide, though they are particularly popular in Ireland, where they originated. They include Gaelic football, hurling, Gaelic handball and rounders. Football and hurling, the most popular of the sports, are both organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). Women's versions of hurling and football are also played: camogie, organised by the Camogie Association of Ireland, and ladies' Gaelic football, organised by the Ladies' Gaelic Football Association. All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship
The GAA Hurling All-Ireland Senior Championship, known simply as the All-Ireland Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county hurling competition in Ireland, and has been contested every year except one since 1887. The final, currently held on the third Sunday in August, is the culmination of a series of games played during July and August, with the winning team receiving the Liam MacCarthy Cup. The Thirty-sixth Amendment of the Constitution of Ireland (previously bill no. 29 of 2018) is an amendment to the Constitution of Ireland which permits the Oireachtas to legislate for abortion. The constitution had previously prohibited abortion unless there was a serious risk to the life of the mother. The proposal is often described as the Repeal of the Eighth Amendment, referring to the 1983 constitutional amendment which guaranteed the right to life of the unborn, making abortion illegal unless the pregnancy was life-threatening. The 2018 amendment replaces Article 40.3.3° of the Constitution, which was added in 1983 and amended in 1992. Davy Fitzgerald
David Dermot Fitzgerald (born 2 August 1971) is an Irish hurling manager and former player. He has been manager of the Waterford county team since 2022, having previously managed the team between 2008 and 2011. As a player, he is widely considered to be one of the greatest goalkeepers of his generation. Fitzgerald began his hurling career at club level with Sixmilebridge. He broke onto the club's top adult team as a 17-year-old in 1989 and had his greatest success in 1996 when Sixmilebridge won the All-Ireland Club Championship. Jason Forde (born 22 December 1993) is an Irish hurler who plays for Tipperary senior Championship club Silvermines and at inter-county level with the Tipperary senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a left corner-forward. Playing career Nenagh CBS On 25 February 2012, Forde lined out at centre-forward when Nengh CBS faced Coláiste na nDéise in the Harty Cup final. He top scored for Nenagh with 1-04, however, he ended on the losing side following a 2–14 to 1–10 defeat.
