Tim Bergling Foundation
The Tim Bergling Foundation is a foundation created by the family of the Swedish DJ Tim Bergling, known as Avicii, to "honour his memory and continue to act in his spirit". Avicii committed suicide in 2018 after suffering a long battle with mental health issues. The foundation was originally set up to tackle mental health awareness and suicide prevention in order to help prevent other families from experiencing similar events; however, was later expanded to work on climate change, protection of endangered species, business management, and nature conservation. History The Tim Bergling Foundation was announced by the family of Avicii on 26 March 2019. Tim Bergling (; 8 September 1989 – 20 April 2018), known professionally as Avicii (, ), was a Swedish DJ, remixer and music producer. Lars Salem Al Fakir (born 27 October 1981) is a Swedish musician, singer, songwriter and record producer. He regularly collaborates with Vincent Pontare as the songwriting and production duo Vargas and Lagola. Audra Mae (born February 20, 1984) is an American singer and songwriter from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She is the great-great-niece of Judy Garland, and a great granddaughter of Garland's sister Jimmie. Alessandro Michele Cavazza (; born 11 September 1992), mostly known as Sandro Cavazza, is a Swedish songwriter and former singer of Italian origin. Besides his solo career he was also a member of the pop group Estraden. He names his musical influences as Eagle-Eye Cherry, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Westlife, ABBA, Max Martin, Bon Iver and Queen, in particular Freddie Mercury.
