Tigist Tufa (born 26 January 1987) is an Ethiopian marathon runner. She was the winner of the 2014 Shanghai Marathon, setting a new course record and a personal best time of 2:21:52. Her previous bests were 2:28:04 at the Los Angeles Marathon in 2013, followed by 2:24:32 at the 2014 Ottawa Marathon, where she also set a new course record. She won the 2015 London Marathon The 2015 London Marathon was the 35th running of the annual marathon race in London, England, which took place on Sunday, 26 April. Marathon
The marathon is a long-distance foot race with a distance of , usually run as a road race, but the distance can be covered on trail routes.
