Tiger Saw
Tiger Saw is a sadcore band from Newburyport, Massachusetts. Formed in 1999, the band currently consists of Dylan Metrano on guitar and vocals, Juliet Nelson on vocals, cello and bass, John Ryan Gallagher on guitar and Andrew Nelson on drums. The band has issued three albums on Kimchee Records and released its first record on its own label in 1999. Band history The band was formed in 1999 by songwriter Dylan Metrano and released an album ''How to be Timeless Tonight'' in late 1999 on the band's own label. At that stage, Metrano was the only member of the band and performed concerts solo. In 2000, a single "I Keep My Misfortune" was released on Redwood Records. He recruited the other members before the group released its first album on Kimchee Records ''Blessed Are the Trials We Will Find''. Nikole Beckwith is an American director, screenwriter, and playwright. She has also performed live with a handful of bands and sings on Tiger Saw's 2005 record ''Sing!'' and Sam Rosen's 2006 release "The Look South". Early life Beckwith grew-up in Newburyport, Massachusetts. From age 16, she attended the Sudbury Valley School in Framingham, Massachusetts. While in Massachusetts, Beckwith was involved with the theater, music and art communities. In 2004, she became the youngest recipient of The Johnson Award for excellence in and contributions to the arts in the Merrimack Valley. She authored a short book of poems, ''Rhymes With Blue'', which was released in a limited run by Independent Submarine in 2001. In 2006, she moved to New York City. Mary Lou Lord (born March 1, 1965) is an indie folk musician who started performing as a busker in Boston. Life and career Mary Lou Lord first gained attention playing acoustic guitar and singing in and around Boston's subway stations, particularly on the Red Line, as noted by the name she chose for her music and lyric publishing company, On the Red Line Music, administered by BMI. Lord became friends with Nirvana front man Kurt Cobain in the fall of 1991, before the group's rise to mainstream fame; there has been much speculation about their relationship. In 2010, Lord published an explanation from her point of view. She met Elliott Smith through Slim Moon, the owner of Kill Rock Stars and her boyfriend at the time. The Microphones
The Microphones are an American indie folk, indie rock, and experimental project from Olympia, Washington. The project was founded in 1996 and ended in 2003, with a short reunion following in 2007 and revivals in 2019 and 2020. Across every iteration of the Microphones, it has been fronted by Phil Elverum. Elverum is the principal songwriter and producer behind the band's albums, but he has also collaborated with other local musicians on his other recordings and tours. Many of Elverum's recordings from the project's initial period were released by the label K Records. Since 2003, Elverum has recorded and performed primarily under the name Mount Eerie. ''Metrosideros polymorpha'', the ''ōhia lehua'', is a species of flowering evergreen tree in the Myrtus, myrtle family, Myrtaceae, that is Endemism, endemic to the six largest Hawaiian Islands, islands of Hawaii, Hawaii.
