Tiger Park
Tiger Park is a softball stadium located on the campus of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It serves as the home field of the LSU Lady Tigers softball team and is located on Skip Bertman Drive across from the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. The official capacity of the stadium is 2,671 people. Tiger Parks record attendance of 3,242 came on March 25, 2016, in a game versus the University of Florida. The stadium also features an outfield berm, renamed the Tiger Park Terrace in 2016, that can accommodate in excess of 1,200 fans. The stadium opened prior to the 2009 college softball season. 2015 NCAA Division I Softball Tournament
The 2015 NCAA Division I softball tournament was held from May 14 through June 3, 2015 as the final part of the 2015 NCAA Division I softball season. The 64 NCAA Division I college softball teams were selected out of an eligible 293 teams on May 10, 2015. Thirty-two teams were awarded an automatic bid as champions of their conference, and thirty-two teams were selected at-large by the NCAA Division I softball selection committee. The tournament culminated with eight teams playing in the 2015 Women's College World Series at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City. Tiger Park (1997)
The original Tiger Park was a softball stadium located on the campus of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The stadium was located on the southwest corner of West Chimes Street and Alaska Street. It served as the home field of the LSU Tigers softball team from 1997 to 2008. The official capacity of the stadium was 1,000 people, however, the stadium held more than that when important rivals came to town or during post-season tournaments. The largest crowd to see a game in the original Tiger Park was on April 28, 2007, when LSU hosted Tennessee before a crowd of 2,326. The stadium was opened prior to the 1997 college softball season and played host to four NCAA regionals in 1999, 2000, 2001, and 2006 and hosted the 2008 SEC softball tournament. The 2008 season was the twelfth and final season in the original Tiger Park. 2015 SEC Softball Tournament
The 2015 SEC softball tournament will be held at Tiger Park on the campus of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana from May 6 through May 9, 2015. The tournament will earn the Southeastern Conference's automatic bid to the 2015 NCAA Division I softball tournament. LSU Lady Tigers Softball
The LSU Tigers softball team represents Louisiana State University in NCAA Division I college softball. The team participates in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) and plays home games in Tiger Park. The team is currently coached by Beth Torina. History LSU has won nine Western Division titles, five regular season SEC championships and five SEC tournament championships.
