Tiffany (given Name)
Tiffany is an English form of the Greek Theophania. It was formerly often given to children born on the feast of Theophania, that is, Epiphany. The equivalent Greek male name is Theophanes (), commonly shortened to Phanis () and the female is Theophania () or Theophano (), colloquially Phani (). The name was popular in the US during the 1970s to early 1990s—particularly between 1980 and 1991 the number of babies named Tiffany born each year exceeded 10,000, peaking at 18,361 in 1988. This popularity was spawned by the 1961 movie starring Audrey Hepburn, '' Breakfast at Tiffany's'' (which referred to the jewelry company rather than the feast of Epiphany). Tiffany Cross Medal Of Honor
The Tiffany Cross Medal of Honor arose immediately after World War I, as the US Navy decided to recognize via the Medal of Honor two manners of heroism, one in combat and one in the line of a sailor's profession. The original upside-down star was designated as the non-combat version and a new pattern of the medal pendant, in cross form, was designed by the Tiffany Company in 1919. It was to be presented to a sailor or Marine who "in action involving actual conflict with the enemy, distinguish shimself conspicuously by gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty and without detriment to his mission." This pendant became the Tiffany Cross. Description The Tiffany Cross is suspended from the light blue Medal of Honor ribbon with 13 white stars. At the ribbon top is a bar with the word "VALOUR". The medal is a gold cross pattée overlaying an oak and laurel wreath on the obverse side, with an antique anchor in each arm of the cross. The c ... Tiffany (Image Comics)
Tiffany is a fictional character in Todd McFarlane's ''Spawn'' comic book series. She was first introduced to the series in issues #44 and #45. Tiffany, like fellow angel Angela, is a Hellspawn hunter. Therefore, the most current Hellspawn, Al Simmons, is her primary target. She has a long-standing rivalry with Angela, but since Angela has gone rogue, Tiffany's aim is to fill her place as the top Hellspawn slayer in Heaven's army. In her first attempt to slay Spawn, she was over-zealous and was defeated in a grisly manner. Although she lost the fight, she escaped with her life, since the still inexperienced Spawn did not realize that merely destroying an angel's physical body is not enough to truly kill it. She has not appeared in the comic since. Costume Tiffany's costume includes gauntlets that can be used to contact others with similar technology via a hinged screen, completely concealing it while in battle. Her right boot is wide at the base and tapering to the knee. From ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

Tiffany (album)
''Tiffany'' is the debut studio album by American singer Tiffany, released on September 15, 1987, by MCA Records. Prior to signing a recording contract with MCA Records in 1987, Tiffany had begun working with manager and record producer George Tobin several years earlier, possibly with some of the tracks recorded as early as when she was 12 years old. Initially, "Danny" was her first single released from her self-titled studio album; however the single failed to chart. To support the album and create a buzz for herself, Tiffany embarked on a shopping mall tour entitled "The Beautiful You: Celebrating the Good Life Shopping Mall Tour '87". The tour included Tiffany performing in shopping malls across the United States; at first to small audiences but by the end to much larger crowds as her popularity grew. As her popularity grew during her tour, radio stations began to play Tiffany's cover version of Tommy James & the Shondells' song "I Think We're Alone Now". The song was quickly ...
