Tierna La Noche
''Tierna la Noche'' is the second album by Mexican pop singer Fey. The album was released in mid 1996 and quickly climbed the charts to later peak at the top spot. The album stayed there for more than 3 months and stayed in the Top 20 for more than 40 weeks. In sales, the album was quite successful and with time became the highest selling Latin female album of the year, beating out Thalía, Paulina Rubio and other singers already established in the Mexican music scene. " Azúcar Amargo", the album's first single, peaked at #1 in most countries in Latin America, and did fairly well in the U.S. Latin tracks. All the songs in the album received airplay, even though only 2 official videos were made. María Fernanda Blázquez Gil (born July 21, 1973), known artistically as Fey, is a Latin Grammy Award-nominated Mexican singer, songwriter, designer, dancer, record producer, and director. She has released seven studio albums and done one international tour and a short tour to promote her third studio album. She rose to fame with her self-titled debut album, ''Fey,'' released in 1995, which was followed by ''Tierna La Noche'', and ''El Color De Los Sueños''. ''Fey'' is the debut studio album by Mexican singer Fey, released on 27 June 1995, through Sony Music Entertainment Mexico, it has sold over 2 million worldwide. Background and recording Initially, Fey began as a backup singer of the group ''Las Hermanas Gil'', which was made up by two of her aunts, a very famous duo during their time. Fey's family did not agree with her wishing to attend dance and singing classes, as they felt she was too young. For this reason, her aunts decided to include her in the group in some way. Meanwhile, Fey was recording demos for different labels until around 1989 PolyGram was interested in the Fey's concept, she was then 16 years old. ''El Color De Los Sueños'' is the third studio album by Mexican singer Fey. It was released in November 3, 1998 by Sony Music Entertainment Mexico. Controversy The album was much less successful than the artist's previous album, ''Tierna La Noche'', arguably because of the controversies that came about during this time. Fey's age, marital status and religious beliefs were all questioned intensely by the media, which also criticized Fey's management for wanting to create a ''diva'' out of Fey. ''Azúcar'' is an album by the Cuban band Los Van Van. It was released in the United States in 1994, the band's first album in eight years to be widely distributed. Due to the U.S. embargo, the band did not tour behind the album until 1996. Production The album was recorded in 1992.
