Tidal Wave (Samishii Nettaigyo)
is a cover album by the Irish pop group The Nolans. Released on 21 September 1991 exclusively in Japan by Teichiku Records, the album consists of 12 English-language covers of popular J-pop songs from the 1970s and 1980s. The title track, a cover of Wink's "Samishii Nettaigyo", was released as a single. The album peaked at No. 99 on Oricon's albums chart and sold over 3,000 copies. The Nolans
The Nolans are an Anglo-Irish girl group who formed in Blackpool in 1974 as the Nolan Sisters, before changing their name in 1980. Often referred to as Ireland's ''First Family of Music'', they were the first Irish performing family to achieve international success, preceding the likes of the Corrs. Between 1979 and 1982, the group had seven international hits, including " I'm In the Mood for Dancing", "Gotta Pull Myself Together", "Who's Gonna Rock You", "Attention to Me" and "Chemistry". They are one of the world's biggest selling girl groups. is a Japanese J-pop songwriter and guitarist. Biography Born in Hirosaki, Aomori Prefecture, Japan, Suzuki studied at the South Hirosaki High School. is a Japanese lyricist, script writer, and film director. He has written lyrics for many musical groups and individual artists, sometimes under the pseudonym . After graduating from Tochigi Prefectural Ashikaga High School, he graduated in 1974 with a degree in literature from Sophia University. After graduating, he worked as a copy writer for the advertising firm , which went bankrupt in 1999. Due to missing an error in an advertisement in a national newspaper, though, he was forced to do other work. is the tenth single by Japanese singer Yōko Oginome. Written by Masao Urino and Akihiro Yoshimi, the single was released on October 29, 1986 by Victor Entertainment. Background and release "Roppongi Junjōha" peaked at No. 3 on Oricon's singles chart, making it Oginome's highest-charting single until " Sayonara no Kajitsutachi" hit No. 1 in 1987.
