Tibor Kruchió
Tibor Kruchió (born 1967) is a Hungarian serial killer who robbed and killed four people from September to October 2001. Due to the ruthlessness of his crimes, he was sentenced to life imprisonment without parole. Early life Tibor Kruchió was born into an impoverished family in Békés in 1967. After the fall of socialism in the country, he became homeless, finding refuge in abandoned houses in Szeged and homeless shelters on Indóház Square. Prior to his murder spree, he committed small-time crimes such as stealing and fraud. By that time, Kruchió had no family connections left, often interacted with other vagrants, and had no permanent residence or job. Kruchió's crimes intensified shortly after he met Lajos Kocsis, a hardened criminal who had been released from prison following a 10-year sentence barely two weeks prior, via his acquaintance József Dimovics. Békés
Békés (; ro, Bichiş; sk, Békéš) is a town in Békés County, Hungary. It lies about north of Békéscsaba and east of Budapest. History The area of the present town has been inhabited since ancient times, due to its good soil and proximity to rivers. After Hungarians conquered the area, Békés and its surroundings were the property of the '' Csolt'' clan. Békés (the name means 'peaceful') was originally the name of the castle which gave its name to the comitatus, and, like many castles, was possibly named after its first steward. Many documents from the 13th century prove that Békés was the county seat. After 1403, when the area became the estate of the Maróthi family, Békés slowly lost its importance and the role of the centre of the comitatus was gradually taken over by Gyula. Csongrád County
Csongrád ( ro, Ciongrad; tr, Conğrad sr, Чонград, Čongrad, archaically also ''Црноград/Crnograd'') is a town in Csongrád County in southern Hungary. History At the time of the Hungarian Conquest (the end of 9th century) the Maros Valley was under Bulgarian control. The fortress was known as Chorniy Grad (Slavic term for 'black castle') and served as a Bulgarian-Slavic guard outpost. Later King Stephen (1000–1038) made the town a state administration center, giving its name to a county. It remained a county seat till the Mongol invasion of Hungary (1240–42). Dunaföldvár
Dunaföldvár is a town in Tolna County, Hungary. Residents are Hungarians, with minority of Serbs. A Bronze Age gold hoard of jewellery was found between Paks and Dunaföldvár on the banks of the Danube in the nineteenth century. The treasure is now in the collections of the British Museum. Dunaföldvár boasts a number of historical heritages, the most important of which, after the castle, are its churches and chapels. Dunaföldvár, on the bank of the Danube, was an important settlement at the time of the Hungarian conquest, and experienced its golden age during the 14th and 15th centuries. It was first mentioned in the work of the Turkish chronicler Sinan Chaus, who described the history of the 1543 expedition. However, the castle was destroyed in the autumn of 1686 after it was set ablaze by Turkish troops.
