Tibiao, officially the Municipality of Tibiao ( krj, Banwa kang Tibiao; hil, Banwa sang Tibiao; tl, Bayan ng Tibiao), is a 4th class municipality of the Philippines, municipality in the Philippine Province, province of Antique (province), Antique, Philippines. History During the Spanish times in the Philippines, Spanish soldiers encountered a group of natives in ''hatay hatay'', a watery and miry land. They asked the natives the name of the place, pointing to the vast expanse of land covered with tall reed grasses called ''tigbaw''. The natives, who thought the Spaniards were pertaining to the name of the grass, answered ''Tigbaw''. It is near the edge of the present-day Tibiao River (''sa Tibí Kang subâ''). Remegio Vista (born 25 May 1934) is a Filipino sprinter. He competed in the men's 4 × 100 metres relay at the 1960 Summer Olympics. Early life Remegio Vista was born on May 25, 1934 in Tibiao, Antique in the Philippines. Career Vista competed three times in the Asian Games (1958, 1962, 1966), where he won 2 gold medals and a bronze medal. He also competed at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome. Internal Revenue Allotment
The Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA) is a local government unit’s (LGU) share of revenues from the Philippine national government. Provinces, independent cities, component cities, municipalities, and barangays each get a separate allotment. The allotment is largely based upon the type of government they are and a formula based upon their land area and population. Section 284 of the Local Government Code of the Philippines (RA 7160) sets up the formula for the distribution of the allotment. All or nearly all of the revenue that a local government has to spend comes from their IRA, though some local governments also have additional local sources of revenue such as property taxes and government fees. San Jose de Buenavista, officially the Municipality of San Jose de Buenavista, ( krj, Banwa kang San Jose de Buenavista; hil, Banwa sang San Jose de Buenavista; tl, Bayan ng San Jose de Buenavista), is a 1st class municipality and capital of the province of Antique, Philippines.
