Tiba Al-Quraishi
Tiba Saleem Abdulmaged Al-Quraishi ( ar, طيبة سليم عبدالمجيد القريشي; born 13 January 1996) is an Iraqi football and futsal player who plays as a midfielder for Iraqi club Al-Zawraa. International career Tiba Al-Quraishi has been capped for Iraq at senior level in both football and futsal. In football, she represented Iraq in the 2018 AFC Women's Asian Cup qualification in 2017, where she played three games. In futsal, Tiba Al-Quraishi played for Iraq at the WAFF Women's Futsal Championship in 2022 and scored a goal in the semi-final against Kuwait which helped Iraq reach the final and win the title for the first time in its history. Midfielder
A midfielder is an outfield position in association football. Midfielders may play an exclusively defensive role, breaking up attacks, and are in that case known as defensive midfielders. Women's football in Iraq is popular as there are less social restrictions on women than in the rest of the Arab world . One of the barriers to the sport's growth is the prejudice that many women experience as a result of playing the sport. The national team has never taken part in the FIFA Women's World Cup or the AFC Women's Asian Cup. They are currently ranked joint 138th (and last) due to being inactive. In 2016, the Iraqi Women's Football League was founded and Ghaz Al-Shamal club won the first women's title. 2018 AFC Women's Asian Cup Qualification
The 2018 AFC Women's Asian Cup qualification was the qualification tournament for the 2018 AFC Women's Asian Cup. A total of 21 teams entered the qualification tournament, which decided four of the eight participating teams in the final tournament held in Jordan. This tournament also served as the first stage of Asian qualification for the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup, with the top five teams of the final tournament qualifying for the World Cup. Futsal
Futsal is a football-based game played on a hardcourt, hard court smaller than a football pitch, and mainly indoors. It has similarities to five-a-side football and Indoor soccer, indoor football. Futsal is played between two teams of five players each, one of whom is the goalkeeper. Unlimited substitutions are permitted. Unlike some other forms of indoor soccer, it is played on a hard court surface marked by lines; walls or boards are not used. It is played with a smaller, harder, lower-bounce ball than football.
