Tianliao District

	Tianliao District Tianliao District () is a suburban district of Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. History After the handover of Taiwan from Japan to the Republic of China in 1945, Tianliao was organized as a rural township of Kaohsiung County. On 25 December 2010, Kaohsiung County merged with Kaohsiung City and Tianliao was upgraded to a district of the city. 	District (Taiwan) Districts are administrative subdivisions of the Taiwan, Republic of China (Taiwan)'s special municipality (Taiwan), special municipalities of the second level and provincial city (Taiwan), provincial cities of the third level formerly under its Provinces of China, provinces. 	Tianliao Moon World The Tianliao Moon World () is an area of badlands in Tianliao District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Name The area is named ''Moon World'' because its surface resembles the surface of the Moon. History The formation was formed after years of rain and stream erosion.
