Tiago Lima Pereira
Tiago Miguel Silva Vilela Lima Pereira (born 3 June 1994) is a Portuguese footballer who plays for Pevidém S.C. as a central defender. Club career Born in Póvoa de Varzim, Lima Pereira's final youth club was FC Porto, and he was an unused substitute for the reserves in Segunda Liga for two matches in the middle of the 2012–13 season. He then joined another second team, Vitória S.C. B in the third division, winning promotion in his first year. Lima Pereira made his division two debut on 9 August 2014, scoring the first goal in a 3–0 home win against C.D. Feirense. He added a further two during the campaign, in a ninth-place finish. For 2016–17, Lima Pereira signed a one-year contract with Varzim S.C. in the same league. His uncle António had previously played for his hometown side. Póvoa De Varzim
Póvoa de Varzim (, ) is a Portuguese city in Northern Portugal and sub-region of Greater Porto, from its city centre. It sits in a sandy coastal plain, a cuspate foreland, halfway between the Minho and Douro rivers. In 2001, there were 63,470 inhabitants, with 42,396 living in the city proper. The city expanded southwards, to Vila do Conde, and there are about 100,000 inhabitants in the urban area alone. It is the seventh-largest urban agglomeration in Portugal and the third largest in Northern Portugal. Permanent settlement in Póvoa de Varzim dates back to around four to six thousand years ago. 2012–13 Segunda Liga
The 2012–13 Segunda Liga was the 23rd season of the second-tier of football in Portugal. This season marked a series of changes in the league overall. The league's name was changed back to Segunda Liga from the previous Liga de Honra. A total of 22 teams contested the league, up from 16 in the previous season; 14 of which contested the 2011–12 season, two of which were promoted from the Portuguese Second Division (including a reserve team), one of which was relegated from the 2011–12 Primeira Liga, and five of which were new reserve teams of Primeira Liga clubs. The reserve teams were not eligible for promotion to the Primeira Liga. Events União de Leiria were relegated to the second division due to not fulfilling the mandatory requirements by the Portuguese League for Professional Football regarding the application process to professional competitions. António Lima Pereira
António José Lima Pereira (1 February 1952 – 22 January 2022) was a Portuguese footballer who played as a central defender. Club career Born in Póvoa de Varzim, Lima Pereira started playing professionally for hometown club Varzim, making his Primeira Liga debut in the 1976–77 season at the age of 24. Two years later he signed with Porto, where he would remain for the following 11 campaigns. Lima Pereira appeared in 265 competitive games during his spell at the Estádio das Antas, winning four national championships, two domestic cups and four Supercups. He also reached the final of the 1983–84 European Cup Winners' Cup as his team lost to Juventus 2–1. Aged already 34/35, he was also part of the team's victorious campaign in the European Cup in 1986–87, although he did not play in the final against Bayern Munich due to injury.
