Tia (overseer Of Treasury)
Tia was an ancient Egyptian high official under king Ramses II. His main title was that of an overseer of the treasuries. Tia was married to a woman with the same name, the princess Tia who was sister of Ramses II. Career and Family Not much is known about the early years. One of the earliest mentions of Tia is on a block now in the University of Chicago Oriental Institute (no. 10507). Tia and a man named Amenwashu are shown before King Seti I and the then crown-prince Ramesses II. Habachi conjectured that Amenwashu was Tia's father, but there is no evidence to support this idea. The identification of the man Tia on the Chicago stela with the official Tia is based on the rarity of the name. It is not known when Tia married Ramesses's sister Tia. Tia had several honorific titles including hereditary prince and governor, seal-bearer of the King, sole companion, overseer of the secrets of the royal palace, favorite of the Horus in his palace, eyes of the King, and ears of the King. She is attested only on monuments dating to Ramesses' reign. Tia was married to an official who was also called Tia. The couple had two daughters, Mutmetjennefer and another, whose name did not survive. They were depicted in their parents' tomb in Saqqara. Life She was born in the reign of Horemheb into a non-royal family, before her grandfather Paramessu (later Ramesses I) ascended to the throne. It is possible she was named after her grandmother, who is known as Sitre, but could be identical with a woman named Tia, who was named as Seti's mother. Her only known sibling is Pharaoh Ramesses II; a younger princess called Henutmire was either her sister or her niece.Tyldesley Since she was not born as a princess, she is one of the few princesses during Egypt's history, who married outside the royal family. Diva Starz
Diva Starz was a series of talking fashion dolls created and released by Mattel in October 2000. They are similar in design to MGA's Bratz and Tiger Electronics' Furby. Alexa, Nikki, Summer—later replaced by Miranda—and Tia were offered in the original debut. Originally produced as robotic dolls, Mattel would also release miniature and fashion doll versions in response to their initial success. The line was discontinued in 2004. History Each doll is approximately tall, with plastic clothing and combable hair. The owner can change the doll's outfits by snapping on different pieces of clothing. Alexa, for example, replies with statements like "You have a great sense of style. I love my pink evening gown. Do you think it makes my eyes look bluer?" The dolls were also made to talk to each other and have conversations. After the huge succe ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |
