Thụy An
Lưu Thị Yến (pen names, Thụy An and Thụy An Hoàng Dân; 1916-1989) was a Vietnamese poet. Life Lưu Thị Yến was born in 1916 in Hà Nội. She was the daughter of Lưu Tiến Ích and Phùng Thị Tôn. In 1929, at age 13, her poem got published in Nam Phong. She was one of the writers associated with the Nhân Văn-Giai Phẩm movement. Pen Name
A pen name, also called a ''nom de plume'' or a literary double, is a pseudonym (or, in some cases, a variant form of a real name) adopted by an author and printed on the title page or by-line of their works in place of their real name. A pen name may be used to make the author's name more distinctive, to disguise the author's gender, to distance the author from their other works, to protect the author from retribution for their writings, to merge multiple persons into a single identifiable author, or for any of a number of reasons related to the marketing or aesthetic presentation of the work. Vietnamese Poetry
Vietnamese poetry originated in the form of folk poetry and proverbs. Vietnamese poetic structures include ''Lục bát'', ''Song thất lục bát'', and various styles shared with Classical Chinese poetry forms, such as are found in Tang poetry; examples include verse forms with "seven syllables each line for eight lines," "seven syllables each line for four lines" (a type of quatrain), and "five syllables each line for eight lines." More recently there have been ''new poetry'' and ''free poetry''. With the exception of free poetry, a form with no distinct structure, other forms all have a certain structure. The tightest and most rigid structure was that of the Tang Dynasty poetry, in which structures of content, number of syllables per line, lines per poem, rhythm rule determined the form of the poem. Hanoi
Hanoi or Ha Noi ( or ; vi, Hà Nội ) is the capital and second-largest city of Vietnam. It covers an area of . It consists of 12 urban districts, one district-leveled town and 17 rural districts. Nam Phong District
Nam Phong ( th, น้ำพอง, ) is a district (''amphoe'') of Khon Kaen province. Geography The Nam Phong district is surrounded by Non Sa-at (in the Udon Thani province), Kranuan, Sam Sung, Mueang Khon Kaen, Ubolratana, and Khao Suan Kwang. The district is located along Mittraphap Road (Thailand Route 2) and the Northeastern Railway. The district office and the train station are about 7 km east of the main settlement, Ban Nam Phong. Despite its name, Nam Phong National Park does not occupy any of Nam Phong District, but is located farther southeast. Both are named after the Nam Phong River, which originates in the national park (and after the Ubol Ratana Dam flows through the district towards the Chi River). Nguyễn Hữu Đang (15 August 1913 – 2007) was a Vietnamese journalist and poet. He also used the pen name Phạm Đình Thái. He was one of the writers associated with the Nhân Văn-Giai Phẩm movement.
