Thùy Chi
Trần Thùy Chi (born 4 May 1990), better known by her stage name as Thùy Chi, is a Vietnamese singer. She won the audience prize in the annual songwriting awards Bai Hat Viet (Vietnamese Song) at the end of 2008, then started a successful solo career. Thuy Chi was born in 1990 in Hai Duong, Vietnam. Both of her parents work in showbiz or artistic endeavor in Hai Duong. When she was smaller Thuy Chi exposed her talents for music and later on, her family introduced her to the piano ever since she was six. Beyond nine years old, she began to travel to Ha Noi to study piano at the National Academy of Music of Ha Noi. Although she achieve her fame due to her online hits, Thuy Chi always had the intention to become a piano instructor. Thuy Chi began to obtain Vietnamese community's attention with the release of the track "Giac Mo Trua" (composed by Giang Son). Hải Dương () is a city in Vietnam. It is the capital of Hải Dương, an industrialized province in the Hanoi Capital Region and the Red River Delta in Northern Vietnam. The city is at the midpoint between the capital Hanoi and major port Haiphong, and is part of the Northern Key Economic Zone. In 2019, Hai Duong city had a population of 507,469. V-pop ( vi, nhạc pop Việt Nam, nhạc trẻ or nhạc xanh), an abbreviation for Vietnamese popular music, is a music genre covering Vietnamese pop music from the 1990s to the present day. Etymology During the 1970s, V-pop was limited to ''Nhạc trẻ Sài Gòn'' (Youth music of Saigon, now called Ho Chi Minh City) or ''Kích động nhạc'' (Exciting music). After 1975, the name nhạc trẻ (youthful music), which encompasses vibrant, fun folk songs that were banned by the government at the time. Ballad
A ballad is a form of verse, often a narrative set to music. Ballads derive from the medieval French ''chanson balladée'' or ''ballade'', which were originally "dance songs". Ballads were particularly characteristic of the popular poetry and song of Britain and Ireland from the Late Middle Ages until the 19th century.
