Thunderpuss
Thunderpuss is the (mainly dance) remix/production team of Los Angeles-based music producers Barry Harris and Chris Cox. Harris had previously worked as part of several music groups including Kon Kan, Top Kat, Killer Bunnies and Outta Control and had also released several solo singles himself. Cox, a musician and DJ, had also worked for years as a DJ and producer, producing a megamix of Paula Abdul songs, among other things, and started his own record label, Interhit Records, with Jeff Johnson. History Harris and Cox originally met in New York City in 1990 while Harris was recording '' Syntonic'', Kon Kan's second album. They became friends and remained in contact for years, with Harris eventually joining Cox at Interhit Records in Los Angeles in January 1998. They did not start working together as a production team until September 1997. Chris Cox (DJ)
Christopher Niles Cox (born July 15) is an American dance music record producer, remixer, and DJ who has worked on over 600 records throughout his career. His album ''12 Inches of Cox'' was released in 2002. Career As one-half of the production team Thunderpuss and as a solo artist, Cox has earned a total of 52 ''Billboard'' dance chart number one records. He has remixed songs performed by Madonna, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Whitney Houston, Enrique Iglesias, Jennifer Lopez, Mary J. Blige, Céline Dion, Janet Jackson, and the Spice Girls. It's Not Right But It's Okay
"It's Not Right but It's Okay" is the third single from American singer Whitney Houston's fourth studio album, '' My Love Is Your Love''. It was written by LaShawn Daniels, Rodney Jerkins, Fred Jerkins III, Isaac Phillips, Toni Estes, and produced by Darkchild. The song examines a woman confronting her lover about his infidelity. Kon Kan
Kon Kan is a Canadian synthpop project conceived and formed in 1988 by Barry Harris in Toronto, Ontario. Kon Kan were awarded a 1990 Juno for the song "I Beg Your Pardon" and nominated for a 1991 Juno Award for the single " Puss N' Boots/These Boots Are Made for Walkin'". History Band name Musician Barry Harris said the name "Kon Kan" is a play on the term " Can Con", the Canadian radio regulation that states radio stations must play Canadian artists at least 30% of the time. Harris named the group "Kon Kan" as a subtle advertisement to Canadian stations that he was Canadian. However, he said the move didn't work, and he wasn't noticed by the stations until Atlantic Records signed them. Barry Harris (musician)
Barry Harris is a Canadian record producer, DJ, remixer, singer and songwriter. He created the synthpop act Kon Kan in early 1988 which had worldwide success with "I Beg Your Pardon". The song, initially issued on the now defunct Toronto-based indie label Revolving Records, was quickly discovered and signed by Atlantic Records' A&R rep, Marc Nathan. Abigail (full name Abigail Zsiga) is an English electronic music artist. She first came into the limelight with the song "I Feel You", released in 1992. Career Abigail is known for her hi-NRG covers of popular songs on both sides of the Atlantic. Soluna
Soluna was a music group consisting of four members, all of Hispanic descent – Aurora Rodriguez, America Olivo, Jessica Castellanos, and Christina "T" López. The group's name is the combination the Spanish words for sun ("sol") and moon ("luna"). Billie Myers (born 14 June 1971) is a British rock singer and songwriter from Coventry, England. She is known principally for her 1997 transatlantic hit " Kiss the Rain". Kiss The Rain
