Marion Eleanor Zimmer Bradley (June 3, 1930 – September 25, 1999) was an American author of fantasy, historical fantasy, science fiction, and science fantasy novels, and is best known for the Arthurian fiction novel ''The Mists of Avalon'' and the ''Darkover'' series. Matt Stawicki (born in Delaware) is a professional illustrator best known for providing cover art for science fiction and fantasy novels. According to the Book of Judges, Deborah ( he, דְּבוֹרָה, ''Dəḇōrā'', "bee") was a prophetess of the God of the Israelites, the fourth Judge of pre-monarchic Israel and the only female judge mentioned in the Bible. According to the novels, Darkover is the only habitable planet of seven orbiting a fictional red giant star called Cottman.
