Thunderlip
Thunderlip is a rock & roll band from Wilmington, North Carolina. Thunderlip began in 2003. They started off playing shows locally in 2004, and quickly got picked up by Lucid Records (now defunct) and put out their self-titled release in June 2005. They toured heavily on this release and the record peaked to No. 90 on the CMJ charts. Through extensive tours they landed clothing and shoe endorsements from Matix Clothing and DVS Shoes. They were also endorsed by Vestal Watch and Electric Visual. They played many surf expos, and in late 2005 they were voted best metal band by Fuel TV. They continued touring on the self-titled release throughout most of 2006, and in early 2007 they tracked their second release ''The Prophecy''. This was also released by Lucid Records. Valient Thorr is an American southern rock/ heavy metal band from Greenville, North Carolina. The name of the band is based on the urban legend of Valiant Thor, an Alien which came from Venus to Earth, Valiant Thor. Valient explained, "That'll be the background for the band! We're from space ..." History Valient Thorr began playing together in 2000. Their first show was on Easter of 2001. They released two demos, "Raw" and "We Come From The Morning Star". Following the demos, Valient Thorr self-released their first album on July 1, 2003 (only pressing 1000 copies which were sold at shows), ''Stranded on Earth'', which had the same musical setup as present, but one of the guitarist, Jin Thorr, used a keyboard, 'ic. Mat Hoffman
Mat Hoffman (born January 9, 1972) is an American BMX rider who is considered one of the best vert ramp riders in the history of the sport. He is nicknamed "The Condor" and runs the BMX Freestyle brand Hoffman BMX Bikes based out of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was contracted to ride for Haro Bikes. Career In 1983, when Hoffman was 11 years old, he competed in a contest in Madison Square Garden. He had learned to ride BMX on his own and did not have any other riders for reference. He remembers: "when I got to that contest I went 'woah, I guess I am going higher than everyone else'."
