Thub Jagir
Thub or Thub Jagir is a village in Dadyal Tehsil of Mirpur District, Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. The village lies on the banks of Poonch Riverbr> After the formation of Pakistan people living in the village were very poor. Their prime source of income was agriculture. The construction of Mangla Dam—begun in 1962 and completed in 1967—led to the government allowing citizens of Azad Kashmir to move abroad, and many families moved to Great Britain. Now Thub Jagir is the richest village of Mirpur. Following the 2004 by Mangla Dam uprising, the people of Thub received money from the government of Azad Kashmir. Mirpur District
The Mirpur District ( ur, ) is one of the 10 districts of Pakistan's dependent territory of Azad Kashmir. The Mirpur District is bounded on the north by the Kotli District, on the east by the Bhimber District, on the south by the Gujrat District of Pakistan's Punjab Province, on the south-west by the Jhelum District of Pakistan's Punjab Province, and on the west by Rawalpindi District of Pakistan's Punjab Province. Poonch River
The Poonch River (also known as Punch River, Punch Tohi, Tohi of Punch) is a tributary of the Jhelum River that flows through Jammu and Kashmir in India, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir in Pakistan. Name According to Georg Bühler, the ancient form of the word Tohi is Taushi mentioned in the Rājataraṅgiṇī and the Nīlamata Purāṇa. In the latter work, Āpagā (Aik Nala of Sialkot), Tauśī and Candrabhāgā are named together. Probably, the word is connected with the Sanskrit ''tuṣāra'', 'cold', i.e. 'snow'. Course The river originates in the south-facing foothills of Pir Panjal range, in the areas of Neel-Kanth Gali and Jamian Gali. It is called 'Siran' (Suran) in this area. Zarah Sultana (born 31 October 1993) is a British Labour Party politician. She has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Coventry South since the 2019 general election.
