It includes "'98", which was ''East Bay Express'' "MP3 of the Day" on November 10, 2006. Critical reception Rick Anderson of AllMusic gave the album 4 stars out of 5, calling it "a brilliant sophomore effort from a major talent in modern hip-hop." Matthew Jeanes of Brainwashed said: "This could easily be the kind of record that gets people who typically dismiss hip hop and electronic music as glossy, vacant, or superficial to rethink that position." Thavius Beck
Thavius Beck (born July 31, 1979) is an American record producer and rapper. He has been a member of Global Phlowtations and Lab Waste. He has also put out solo releases under the moniker Adlib. He is a certified trainer of Ableton Live. Biography Thavius Beck is originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota. He moved to Los Angeles, California when he was 16. In 2004, Thavius Beck released the solo album, ''Decomposition'', on Mush Records. The track "To Make Manifest" from ''Decomposition'' appeared on the ''SuicideGirls: The First Tour'' video. In 2005, he released an album, ''Zwarte Achtegrond'' (which means "black background" in the Dutch language), in collaboration with fellow Los Angeles rapper Subtitle under the group name Lab Waste. It was released through Big Dada in Europe on October 12, 2009, and through Mush Records in the rest of the world on January 26, 2010. "Go! / Away" was released as a single from the album. Alejandro Ocana, better known by his stage name 2Mex, is a rapper from Los Angeles, California. He is a member of The Visionaries and Of Mexican Descent. He has collaborated with underground hip hop artists such as Jel, Omid, Thavius Beck, Factor, Radioinactive, and Isaiah "Ikey" Owens. James McCall (born June 3, 1983), better known by his stage names Nocando and All City Jimmy, is an American rapper from Los Angeles, California. He is the 2007 Scribble Jam champion and founder of Hellfyre Club. He is a member of hip hop groups such as Customer Service, Bomb Zombies, and Flash Bang Grenada. Career Nocando began gaining notoriety in Leimert Park's open-mic workshops in South Los Angeles. In the battle circuit, it is believed that he has won a hundred wins over many emcees. Saul Stacey Williams (born February 29, 1972) is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, musician, poet, writer, and actor.
