"Through the Iris" is a single released by American alternative metal band 10 Years in 2006. It is the second single released and track 8 from their first major release, ''The Autumn Effect''. It was released for radio only, as there was no CD single. Like the previous single, the song was also originally released on '' Killing All That Holds You'', the band's second independent album, produced by Travis Wyrick Travis Wyrick is an American music producer and owner of Lakeside Studios in Knoxville, Tennessee. He is particularly known for his work with bands such as P.O.D., Pillar, 10 Years, Nine Lashes, and Disciple, and artists such as TobyMac and .... The album was eventually reissued with four acoustic tracks. The acoustic tracks were recorded live by Mike D. for Lakeside Studios. It was track 2 and clocked in at 3:23. 10 Years is an American alternative metal band formed in Knoxville, Tennessee in 1999. The band consists of lead vocalist Jesse Hasek, lead guitarist Brian Vodinh, rhythm guitarist Matt Wantland, bassist Chad Grennor, and drummer Luke Narey. The group has gone through multiple line-up changes since their inception, with Vodinh and Wantland being the only remaining founding members. To date, they have released ten studio albums, their most recent being ''Descontructed'' in 2022. Travis Wyrick is an American music producer and owner of Lakeside Studios in Knoxville, Tennessee. He is particularly known for his work with bands such as P.O.D., Pillar, 10 Years, Nine Lashes, and Disciple, and artists such as TobyMac and Dolly Parton. Throughout his career, he has produced over 30 No. 1 radio singles. Prior to becoming a producer, Wyrick was lead guitarist with the band Sage. ''The Autumn Effect'' is the third studio album by the Tennessee alternative metal band 10 Years. Produced by Josh Abraham, released on August 16, 2005 through Universal Records and Republic Records. Featured on the album is the popular modern rock track "Wasteland" and two other singles, "Through the Iris" and "Waking Up". Due to the success of "Wasteland", ''The Autumn Effect'' broke 10 Years into the mainstream and as of December 6, 2017, the album has received a Gold certification from the RIAA.
