Randy Crawford
Veronica "Randy" Crawford (born February 18, 1952) is an American jazz and R&B singer. She has been more successful in Europe than in the United States, where she has not entered the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 as a solo artist. However, she has appeared on the Hot 100 singles chart twice. The first time was in 1979 as a guest vocalist on The Crusaders' top-40 hit " Street Life". She also dueted with Rick Springfield on the song "Taxi Dancing", which hit number 59 as the B-side of Springfield's hit "Bop Til You Drop". She has had five top-20 hits in the UK, including her 1980 number-two hit, "One Day I'll Fly Away", as well as six UK top-10 albums. Richard Feldman (songwriter)
Richard Feldman is a Grammy Award-winning American songwriter and producer, raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He worked at Leon Russell's The Church Studio in Tulsa before moving to Los Angeles in 1978, where he worked at Shelter Records. That year he co-wrote "Promises" for Eric Clapton with Roger Linn. The demo was recorded using an early version of the Linndrum. Francesco De Gregori OMRI (born 4 April 1951) is an Italian singer-songwriter. In Italy, he is popularly known as "Il Principe dei cantautori" ("The Prince of the singer-songwriters"), a nickname referring to the elegance of his lyrics. Frank John Musker (born 1951) is a British songwriter and composer. Most prolific in the 1980s and 1990s, he worked with artists such as Sheena Easton, the Babys, Robert Miles, Jennifer Rush, Bucks Fizz, Air Supply, Lucio Battisti, Zucchero, Lisa Stansfield and Brian May (for the Queen song "Too Much Love Will Kill You"). His collaboration with May was awarded Best Song Musically and Lyrically at the 1997 Ivor Novello Awards. "Diamante " is a 1989 song composed by Francesco De Gregori (lyrics), Zucchero Fornaciari, Mino Vergnaghi and (music) and performed by Zucchero Fornaciari. Background The song, a portrait of the Italian post-war and of the ordinary life in the Po Valley countryside of the time, is dedicated to Diamante Arduini Fornaciari, the grandmother of the singer. Felix Weber (born December 1, 1960 in Hassfurt, Bavaria) is a German composer, songwriter and record producer. Early life At the age of six Weber began a professional training as a classical pianist. At 14 he played in his first garage band and when 17 he toured with American cover bands through the US Army clubs in Bavaria performing for soldiers stationed in Germany.
