Eric Mendelsohn
Eric Mendelsohn (born November 1, 1964) is an American film director and screenwriter. Biography Two of his films have been screened in the Un Certain Regard section at Cannes: '' Through an Open Window'' in 1992 and ''Judy Berlin'' in 1999., which won the Directing Award at the 1999 Sundance Film Festival. His third film, '' 3 Backyards'', also earned the Directing Award at the Sundance Film Festival in 2010, making him the only person in history to receive that honor twice. Mendelsohn also co-wrote the screenplay of the 2017 film '' Love After Love'' with Russell Harbaugh. He teaches at Columbia University's School of the Arts in New York City. A short film is any motion picture that is short enough in running time not to be considered a feature film. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences defines a short film as "an original motion picture that has a running time of 40 minutes or less, including all credits". Frances Helen Foster (née Brown; June 11, 1924 – June 17, 1997) was an American film, television and stage actress. In addition to being an actress, Brown was also an award–winning stage director. Life and career Foster was born Frances Helen Brown in Yonkers, New York, the daughter of George H., a postal worker, and Helen E. Brown. She studied acting at American Theater Wing in Manhattan from 1949 to 1952. In 1955, she made her stage debut as Dolly May in ''The Wisteria Trees'' at the City Center Theater in more than 25 of its productions.
