''Those Who Wear Glasses'' ( hu, Szemüvegesek) is a 1969 Hungarian black comedy film written and directed by Sándor Simó. The film won the Golden Leopard at the Locarno International Film Festival. One of the earliest examples of black comedy in European filmmaking, it is considered a classic of the genre. Sándor Simó (7 August 1934 – 4 September 2001) was a Hungarian film producer, director and screenwriter. He produced 25 films and directed a further seven. His 1969 film ''Those Who Wear Glasses'' won the Golden Leopard at the Locarno International Film Festival. His 1977 film ''My Father's Happy Years'' was entered into the 28th Berlin International Film Festival. István Bujtor
István Bujtor (5 May 1942 – 25 September 2009), born István Frenreisz, was a Hungarian actor, director, producer and screenplay writer. He starred in the TV mini-series Mathias Sandorf based on the novel Mathias Sandorf by Jules Verne as ''Mathias Sandorf'' in 1979. Biography Bujtor started his acting career in 1964, and played in more than a hundred Hungarian films. He won the Béla Balázs Award in 1979. In the early 1980s he became known as the Hungarian voice of Bud Spencer. Based on his real life similarity with Spencer, later a series of Hungarian comedies were created in the Bud Spencer- Terence Hill genre, in which Bujtor played hard-hitting detective ''Csöpi Ötvös'' partnered with fellow Hungarian actor András Kern. The Golden Leopard () is the top prize at the Locarno International Film Festival, an international film festival held annually in Locarno, Switzerland since 1946. Directors in the process of getting an international reputation are allowed to be entered in the competitive selection. The winning films are chosen by a jury. Locarno International Film Festival
The Locarno Film Festival is an annual film festival, held every August in Locarno, Switzerland. Founded in 1946, the festival screens films in various competitive and non-competitive sections, including feature-length narrative, documentary, short, avant-garde, and retrospective programs. Mari TörÅ‘csik (born Marián TörÅ‘csik; 23 November 1935 – 16 April 2021) was a Hungarian stage and film actress. She appeared in more than 170 films from 1956 to 2020.
